.....So if a mix and a canine breed then there is a fifty - fifty chance of getting either - does not have genetic smarts -

You're not the only one. XD
Not sure what they're gonna do wit that. If I was hoping for a mix charrie from breeding, say, Seraphi and Fox (just using random charries, here), and i bought fertility and the adopt a mix character thingie and everything else that's required, id be pretty upset if the offspring ended up being a canine instead of the mix I paid for. That was the argument used for making canines and felines always produce mixes, anyway.

Hmm, you make a point with the payment thing, but I think it would be better for the site to have at least some genetics in it. I don't understand why people want to breed mixes instead of a canine or feline anyway. It's just another character. xD

I'm sure some genetics is used, but you don't want people to rage quit.
I wanted a mix because I wanted one of each species. Others may think it looks neat. Others may just want the rare character. I'm not out to make mix after mix, though. Nerah will be fine having plain ol' canines for any future offspring, River's fine with all her children being pure feline (if she ever has any), and I'm not even sure Seraphi will breed. XD I have plans for her to become a spiritual leader of sorts once the legends thing is made canon, and she may opt for a celibate lifestyle.

That makes some sense, I guess we don't want any rage quitters.

What if they dont want a mix? Also, what mix is born if a canine/feline mix and a canine/reptile mix breed. '

That's a good question, but I'm sure most people will be doing interspecies breeding because they want the mix.
You'd get a feline/reptile! Actually, from what I remember, it'd be a mix between two creatures just like any other mix though I don't know what the possibilities would be.

I think Aries said before a creature can only be a mix of two breeds, to keep things fairly simple.

I wouldn't mind a weasel species. Start as a ferret, then an otter, then a wolverine...or something. Bears could start as red pandas or something like. Maybe an insect species would even be interesting, or an herbivore of some kind.

Insects aren't that bad. Who's scared of butterflies and ladybugs? XD A firefly would be fun, as would a dragonfly...

I'm terrified of dragonflies, I got bitten/stung by one three times when I was little ; - ;
