Nerah giggled at Silva's response. "I know...it's really something. After the panic, that is." She laughed when Sivla told the others their evolution could happen any day now. "Something weird triggers it. Wish I knew what."
Silva asked where they were going. "The cave in the woods," Nerah responded. "I swear it's real. I get this feeling like we'll know where it is when we start getting close. It's hard to explain. I wish I could find the right words or just beam the image into everyone's' heads somehow."

Yamir sat down with a broody 'hmph' and listened to their conversation noncommittally. He interjected with a comment whenever it was needed. ...Well, more like whenever he FELT it was needed because most of the words from his mouth are unnecessary. "I don't want to change, I'm fine being...smaller...than you two." He waved a paw dismissively. "Unless Antares changes and ends up bigger than me, then I'll have to draw the line."
That is, until they started talking about a 'new home'. "Why are you all talking about a cave? Am I missing something?"

"There's nothing wrong with staying as you are," Nerah said. "Maybe you'll get to remain the way you are. I wonder if it can be prevented or reversed...not that I'd want to, personally. I'm really liking the form." She laughed when he said he'd have to draw the line if the feline evolved. The Cult was a little right, she supposed. Men did like to compete. But then, so did she. That was a personality thing rather than a gender thing, it seemed.
"Sorry." She forgot he had been asleep for her explanation. "There's this cave in the forest that'd make the perfect home."

"What is there to eat in the forest anyway?" Antares's stomach groaned. "Isn't that where you caught some birds, or something?" he continued, getting up and padding further into the forest.
"Before we go looking for a cave, we should eat, first things first." the feline turned around again to respond to Silva. "I'm honestly not looking forward to it, it looks painful, and I don't know what I might change to." he grimaced, thinking of the worst that he could change to.
"You know you sound insane right!" Antares giggled at the thought of Nerah beaming images into his head.
"I just hope I don't end up smaller!" wrinkled his nose again, he couldn't imagine being smaller. Now if he ended up larger than Yamir, it would just be comical.
"A perfect home? That would be nice" Antares perked his ears.

Nerah nodded when he brought up the birds. "That's one thing. I never saw others but I know there must be. The birds fight back, but they're delicious and make up for the pain." He then suggested eating before reaching the cave. "Yeah...hunting time? The birds are orange so they'll be easy to spot, and we can see what else is out here."
He said she sounded insane and she stared at him. "But I am insane." She giggled. "It's the best way to be!"
Then he said he didn't want to be smaller, and she nodded. "I don't think that'll happen, though."

"Settling down already?" His tone was more surprised than annoyed. "How do you know it's the perfect home if none of us have even been there yet? Maybe it's infested with insects, or some great beast lives in there."
"Antares, promise that you won't get bigger than me." He looked sterner than his tone allowed.
"Hope not." He shook his head boredly. "So the birds are what got you all orange when you ran off with Silva? That ties up some questions of mine." The thought of getting a new look while hunting wasn't very tempting but the thought of food was, so he didn't speak further.

"We don't have to give up exploring," Nerah responded. "But a home would be nice. A place to return to whenever we get tired of adventuring. A sort of headquarters, too. You know." When Yarmir voiced his concern about the place, she shrugged. "I just get this feeling...We'll at least have a look. As for beasts...four great beasts live there!" She laughed. "But they're currently right here and getting hungry."
She giggled at Yamir's comment to Antares, and when the subject turned to the birds, she nodded. "We can kill them and carry the feathers back for bedding. They're soft and comfy, so they'll do well. We can also collect some long grass and maybe some leaves..."

"Exactly how big are these things?" Antares questioned. If they were bigger than he was he didn't want to go anywhere near them. He didn't mind the prospect of ending up in orange feathers. If they were going to make a den in a cave, the feathers could be brought along to make it more comfortable at least.
"True, true" he giggled, the canine was right. who wants to live life under the rules of being sane?
"Won't promise anything" the feline grinned, Yamir's serious tone making it all the more funny to him. With that he started padding further into the forest, keeping a sharp eye out for bright orange birds.
"I think you just read my mind" Antares laughed even harder, he had just been thinking that feathers could be used as bedding.

"Not too big..." Nerah frowned as she tried to remember. "Silva could have killed that one by herself if I had been more patient. Assuming we can find so many, it shouldn't be a problem to have several successful kills."
She was amused by the two males. They had a unique relationship, acting snarky or even mean (in her mind) to each other but seeming to like each other at the same time. As long as they were fine with how they treated each other, she was too. Heck, it was funny.
"Reading minds would be awesome!" She laughed. "I don't think I did, though. Did I? Hmm..."

Yamir did. Yamir wanted to live under the rules of being sane.
"Your heart is chiseled from ice." He deadpanned, his face not becoming any less serious. The thought of being the smallest of them all didn't chafe him the wrong way, he would be himself no matter his size. His eyes rolled a second later, and he shook his head. "I guess I'll just have to change before you, then."
"If you're developing mental superpowers I'm leaving."

"Hehehehehe..." Yes, she certainly loved their banter. She wished she could join in without feeling bad. Even if she was joking, though, she would find it hard to insult someone. It wasn't wrong if everyone involved knew it was in jest, but it simply wasn't her nature, she supposed.
"Awww...don't leave," she mock whined. "I promise I won't read your mind! Well..more than maybe a few sentences..."

"Alright then, they don't seem too hard to take down" Antares dropped into a stalking position and pounced on Yamir's tail. Dragging it from curly to partially straightened out with a cat attached to it.
"I was joking, but we did have a similar idea" the feline smiled letting go of Yamir's tail.
"I was wondering why it's been so cold lately, it must have just been me." he remarked still grinning madly. He would surely evolve first just to anger the canine more. "You know you'll never escape us" he pawed at Yamir's tail once more snagging some of the wispy fur between his claws.

((And he will, if Crumbles doesn't post more. XD Assuming you two ever evolve your characters. No pressure))
Nerah nodded. "We're all a lot more coordinated now. I expect it to be easy." And the event was recent. There should be scent trails to follow, which would help in finding the blasted things. "Just watch out for their mouths and feet. They're pointy and painful."
She giggled at his next comments. "You're stuck with us for life. Better get used to it."

"I ask myself why I trust you all. A lot." He stared down Nerah with a bland expression, but there was a hesitant good-heartedness in his voice.
"Quite - oi, watch it!" That was ridiculous, what was Antares doing? He shook his tail persistently, not finding his smile or playful demeanor endearing. "Come off it." His expression only grew more indignant when the hairs were pulled from his tail. He whapped his tail around some more, aiming for the other's face.

"Because you love us," Nerah responded. "You just don't like to admit it for some reason." She giggled. "And because it's destiny! We are the Chosen Four of Awesome Awesomeness, created to cover the whole world with love and shiny things!" She laughed, and laughed harder at the feline's antics. She and her friends, they had so much fun together. She was glad she had been born when she was, instead of...well...any other time, really.
