The forest...

...Trees were in the forest...

...Familiar trees were in the forest...

"The cave with the trees around it!" She leaped up and turned to face the forest. "That's where it is! I know it!" It had been real, and not just in her mind! She'd never seen it, but she knew this to be true. "We have to go there!" She took off at a pace that the others could easily catch up to. It didn't occur to her that her words might make no sense to the others and that she would likely have to explain her sudden outburst.

"We've been to the forest, but what cave?" Though Silva ran as fast as she could to keep up with Nerah, her legs were a lot shorter, and after only minutes of runing, Silva slowly began to fall behind "Nerah, wait up!" she called after her friend, increasing her speed, huffing for breath. The run was a long and tiring one, and despite the long sleep, it was really wearing her down. "Antares, Yamir, c'mon!' Silva called over her shoulder to her two other friends.

Silva called after the occult canine, and then called for her to wait up. Nerah slowed to a stop and turned around, frowning at her friend's condition. She needed rest.

We don't have to be there right now. We can afford a break.

"There's a cave..." She thought of how to explain it. "It's surrounded by trees and looks big enough for the four of us. I...haven't seen it while awake, exactly. It was in a...well...I'm not entirely sure it was a dream. Anyway, I know it exists, and I think I can find it." She smiled and wagged her tail. "It's perfect!"

[Aries]

Antares pelted after the two canines, keeping up rather well for his size. "What Silva said" he gasped through his teeth, running and talking wasn't easy when you were busy avoiding trees. He was only a few body length behind Silva when she called out for him to come on, not realizing her was right behind her.

Slowing to a halt Antares collapsed lungs screaming because of the immense run. "How do you know it's actually there?" Antares gasped trying to catch his breath. "I don't see it hurting to look, but it could end up disappointing" he remarked obviously skeptical.

Antares had caught up to them as well, and Nerah noticed that Yarmir was still a ways off. Was he still sleeping? Well, they could wait here for him to get rested. They had all needed their sleep.

Nerah frowned as the feline collapsed. Had she pushed them too far? Good thing she was called back. She didn't want to harm them or leave them behind. The feline then asked how she knew it was there, and she shook her head.

"I saw it..." She stated. "Even if I wasn't aware at the time. It's hard to explain, but I just know it's there, waiting for us."

A wave of pain suddenly flashed across her, causing her to skid, then stumble and fall, curling into a tight ball. She yipped in pain slightly as the world seemed to blur behind her eyes, suddenly coming into much sharper focus then before, but everything was much smaller, for come reasons. She could literally feel the bones in her body rearranging themselves to a bigger and stronger form, her dark fur almost seeming to glow in the afternoon sun. --->

Silva started to reply, but stopped before she could even finish her sentence. She skidded, stumbled, and fell. Nerah let out a worried yelp and stood over her friend, wanting to help but unsure of what to do. It wasn't until Silva began to grow and change shape that she realized what was going on.

"Ohhhhh...."

Nerah stood back, wagging her tail. "All right, Silva! Looks like we were right!" She then turned to the feline, smiling. "This is what happened to me! She'll be fine...I think...I hope... Yeah...yeah, she's going to be okay in a moment or two."

[Aries]

Antares noticed the canine frown in concern. "I'm fine, just a bit out of breath!" he laughed his voice slightly raspy from his heavy breathing. "You saw it? Saw it whe-" Antares cut himself off as he heard Silva screech in pain.

The feline got up in a flash and streaked over to his distressed friend to find she was changing, like Nerah had the day before. Her midnight coat stayed the same, but her body looked exactly like Nerah's. It looked even more like a painful process after he had witness the change up close.

"Are you okay?" he murmured shocked that she had changed so soon.

They were a lot smaller then they were a minute ago. Blinking, Silva grinned "Oh, did I do the change thing?" remembering how Nerah's fur had lightened considerably, she asked "Do I look the same, or is my fur brown now?" Though she couldn't see it, her fur remained just as pitch black and short. Other then the change in size, her ears were a bit more rounded. Also, her Russian accent was a lot more pronounced, becoming quite noticeable. now

"Hi there!" Nerah licked the top of Silva's head as she regained consciousness. "Yeah, you're like me now!" She giggled. "I'm kinda relieved. I didn't want to be the only one. You'll get used to the form, I think. I'm more comfortable now than I was before I slept. It's a gradual thing, I guess. How are you feeling? Is the pain gone?" And she was asking way too many questions without answering hers. "You're still black, like you were before. It's really pretty!"

Feeling a paw poke him incessantly in the side, he screwed his eyes shut tighter and effectively ignored it. That seemed to work because the offending claw departed to presumably do something better with its time. Well, it seemed to work well until instead of the sensation of the others nearby, there was the tramp of feet and excited gabbing - and Yamir was alone. Giving a great insulted huff he hauled himself to stand and looked out in the direction that they ran off. "Good for nothing..." Half-hearted Complaints continued to slip off his tongue until he was fully woken up, and began to head towards their scent.

"I like the whole concept of friendship you guys are so great at," he quipped once he found them. However, he was a little surprised to see Silva in the same shape as Nerah now, but still black. "You've gone and turned all..." He observed aloud, tail wagging indecisively. "The same as her."

Nerah glanced back in time to see Yamir approach. Her tail wagged as hard as it could and she let out several excited barks. "Hihihi! Sorry, I ran off because I figured you were walking up and would be right behind me, and then...well...this happened!" She gestured at Silva. "Isn't she pretty? She was before, but...well...you know what I mean!" She giggled. "Anyway, we need food soon, and there were plenty of those bird things in the forest. Are we ready to go?"

[Aries]

Antares sat down with a thump, relieved that Silva was okay. "I didn't expect you to change so soon!" he exclaimed, still shocked a bit. She did look wonderful in her new appearance though.

"Oh look who decided to join us" the feline piped looking at Yamir as he padded up to them. Waving his tail in greeting, the canine would probably just give in an irritated look in return though.

The leaves were many tones of red, and orange, making his pelt stand out. "I don't know how well hunting might go, I sort of stick out" Antares frowned staring at his jet black paws. He was starving though, if he put his energy into it, he could probably catch a scrap of food. Although all of them would be working together to catch something, that was good, hopefully they could catch something big. Enough to feed everybody.

Nerah looked around at her packmates. They were all together, and they could move again at any time. She began to stretch in preparation for travel now that she wasn't crazed by the vision she'd had in her sleep. It was real. She knew it was. Something inside her told her it was there and meant for them.

She giggled at the feline's comment. "I'm glad he did. Now we can get moving for real! I wanna see our new home with my eyes! ...And I want some food." When Antares expressed concern over sticking out, she shook her head. "That won't matter. We stuck out back in the plains and still caught something, even if we had the advantage of it not being prepared for us. We'll make something work."

"wow...that was just...wow" she grinned at Yamir, who had just showed up, and antares "Who knows, you two could be any day now!" she joked, tail wagging. Honestly, she was super excited. This changing thingie sure was cool! She blinked as an image flashed betwene her eyes. It was a cave, surrounded by familiar looking trees. She frowned, as the image came back, clearer. "Where did you say we were going, Nerah?" silva asked, confused. How come she could see this image so clearly?
