SPECIES, occult feline
APPEARANCE, This newborn male is solid black in color and will quickly grow into a medium length pelt with heavier fur around the chest and tail. He has a flat, broad face with deep set maroon eyes, and excessively lengthy whiskers. His hind legs are stronger than most newborns, and will help him primarily with his speed and agility.
PERSONALITY, Antares is a real sweetheart, he can hardly even hunt because of the guilt that ensues after making a kill. However, because of this he has an extensive knowledge edible plants so that he doesn't have to hunt as often as he would otherwise. He's always looking to learn something new about them, he hopes to one day know the uses of every plant, and which ones to avoid. This also makes him handy when someone's sick or injured, he's excellent with dealing with the distressed or sick and would go any distance to help someone. Especially if he cares a great deal about them.
He's very quiet among crowds and tends to disappear. Although if he's approached in a nice manner he won't shy away from you. He warms up rather fast, and becomes clingy fast, he despises being alone. When with friends he tends to be very talkative. Silence doesn't do well with him, but if someone's his friend they've learned to tolerate or even like his loudness. He doesn't like to sleep alone, it makes him feel insecure, like a child without his teddy bear. So he tends to sleep cuddled up to a friend.
Antares may not have many friends, but he is very loyal to and protective of the ones he has. He will stick by them through thick and thin, no matter what. As much as he hates fighting, if someone tries to hurt someone he cares about he will snap into action and hurt them back. He doesn't show his strength hardly ever, but he is very capable of dealing damage when he's angry.
He is a bit of a wanderer, epic adventures, danger, and exploring new places are a passion of his. There's nothing more exhilarating than running from a mass of pissed off spiders, or teasing a bear from high in a tree to learn that bears can climb too. He just loves the adrenaline, although you'd never know until you run into trouble around him.

Life is AWESOME!Antares is new to the world, he's still getting used to his wobbly legs. His new friends Silva, Nerah, and Yamir, who are also newborns like him, are there to help him along. They all take their first step, and say their first words together, forever to be bonded together as friends. They venture from the Orchard on the adventure that will begin their lives.
ExplorationTogether, Antares, Nerah, Silva, and Yamir explore the Blue Plains. They make their first kill, an Elk, with each other's help to bring the large animal down. After the elk is dead they have their first taste of meat and stuff themselves sick.
They agree to travel further to the River Garden, as they all need water, and a more sheltered place to sleep. When they get there, they all go for their first swim. Nerah then evolves as she swims. All of the pack is shocked at this, but quickly becomes comfortable with her new, larger appearance. All of them then sleep in the shelter of the River Garden.
After the night's sleep the pack heads to the Maple Forest for a hunt. Nerah begins having visions of a cave that would make a good den for the newly formed Starpack. Soon after Nerah speaks of the cave, Silva evolves, and also begins to speak of the cave. After a hunt, they all decide to look for the cave the two Occults speak of, eventually finding it and making it into the Starpack's den.
Starpack DenThe Starpack (Silva, Nerah, Antares & Yamir) begin to make the new found den livable. They dig the cave out for the two Occults, Silva and Nerah to fit and create multiple chambers. Antares plucks the feathers off of Silva and Nerah's recent catches to make soft bedding for them to sleep on.
Shortly after the Starpack settles down, and injured Kayalee stumbles upon the pack and is invited to stay as long as she pleases. Silva then evolves again, but Antares leaves shortly afterwards.
"Has anyone ever told you..."Yamir and Antares decide to find some action outside the redundancy of the den. They take off in the direction of the Orchard..well Antares does, Yamir follows. A large fallen tree ends up in their path and Antares suggest they jump it, which they do. Yamir lands upside down by accident, which greatly amuses Antares. The feline decides to investigate the log as Yamir readjusts his spine, which turns out to be a horrible, horrible idea.
The log is filled with spiders. Huge spiders. Spiders that Antares just really pissed off. The pair run from the black mass of angry spiders, exhilarated with adrenaline. Their legs being much longer than the spiders', they out run them rather fast, but cover a great distance, ending up on the edge of the River Garden. Antares suggest they go visit the place of their birth, the Orchard.
It doesn't take them long to cross the river, but Yamir's bickering about the cold water hold them back a tad. They stop to dry off a bit as Antares licks his fur partially dry, baffling the canine at how his tongue could possibly dry him any. The duo pelt across the plains, not making much conversation until the Orchard is nearly reached.
The Orchard is reached soon after and the two look for a soft place to sleep. The tree they settle under turns out to be the Kata-Hal Tree, but nothing comes of it. Which is good for both of their sake.
OPEN, SESAAntares and Silva briefly meet the newly hatched Malonask, and greet him into the world. They both leave shortly after welcoming him.year two
Pretty flowerAntares is woken up by Malo, a young canine, in the River Garden. The two warm up rather quickly as Antares shows her of one of the River Garden's edible plants. After polishing off some of the Angel Fern's succulent pods, Antares decides to investigate on hearing that the nectar of the river lilies is sweet and drinkable. He then evolves after taking a sip of the nectar!
Shortly after that, a dear friend of Antares's stumbles upon them, Silva. She's surprised over Antares's sudden evolution, not aware that felines evolve. They play and chat, Antares discovering that Silva is Maro's adoptive mother. As they play, Maro pretends to be hurt and streaks off hoping the other two would follow, but they stick behind.
Can't I just be a vegetarian?Antares and Silva go out for a hunt after Antares gives up complaining about disliking hunting. Silva doesn't believe that he can hunt, and he proves her wrong by bringing down two birds and a third after raiding a nest for eggs. He begins to realize his feelings for the canine, little does he know that the canine has feelings for him too. After eating some of their kill, he proposes they go visit the newborns in the Orchard, actually intending to sleep under one of the Orchard's child bearing trees. Silva agrees and they head off in the direction of the Orchard, dropping the extra birds and feathers at the den.
They make it to the Orchard in due time, Antares shyly suggests they sleep under one of the trees, hoping she'd catch what he meant. Silva then confesses her feelings to the feline, and Antares confesses his in return. Both of them glad to feel the same about each other, sleep under the Kata-hal Tree in hopes of it bearing a child for them.
Antares wakes up first the next morning and searches for any unfamiliar pods, just above his head he finds a pod no more that a few hours old. Sure it's theirs, he wakes Silva excitedly and the new couple marvel over how many great things were happening at the same time. They vow to guard the pod as it grows until it hatches.
Many days and nights later, the healthily large pod drops from the tree to reveal the first, and gorgeous, mixed breed. The happy parents welcome their son into the world, proud of what they created. They introduce themselves as the mix's parents, and the pup speaks his name, Shadow. Antares suggests they start heading home, pointing to the line of orange trees in the distance for his son to see. Silva and Shadow agree with going to the den, so Antares tosses the mix onto his broad shoulders and they head out of the Orchard and into the gorgeous gold and orange forest.
Shadow climbs off his father's shoulders, almost immediately getting bitten by a potentially deadly forest viper. Luckily Antares kills the snake before it could bite his son, but not without getting bitten himself. Silva, concerned about the feline, ask if it bit him, but he'd rather not freak his son out after Silva just told him of how deadly the vipers tend to be. Antares manages to let the canine know of his bite without alerting Shadow and they make it back to the den safely.
The trio decide to go to sleep with Antares's deteriorating state and general exhaustion from the chaotic day. The feline drags a mat of moss out of the den and covers it with soft, downy feathers. They all fall asleep in a warm pile just outside the den after Antares eats some grey creepers to sedate him.
Seeking HopeNerah, desperate for a pup of her own, asks Antares if he would be the father of her pup, clearing it with Silva first of course. Antares agrees, as Nerah is his packmate and he'd do anything in his power to make a packmate happy. They cut to the chase and agree under a tree to sleep under, the Tart-Cerasus Tree. Settling down and falling asleep is quick.
The next morning Antares wakes up, immediately searching for a new pod, which he finds quite quickly. He wakes Nerah up more abrupt than he usually would, showing her the new pod. She's both excited and concerned which is to be expected of any parent to be. Antares assures her that he and the other pack members would help guard; the pod will always have a set of eyes on it.
After a few weeks, the pod drops, revealing a gorgeous new mix named Seraphi. Both parents give her a warm welcome into the world, Antares gives her a mouse to strengthen herself up with before asking if they could set off to home. Both others agree and they head off to the forest, taking no time in getting to the den.
