"I still love you, Nerah"
These words, spoken by her beloved. It seemed that one of Elena's nightmares had managed to crawl it's way into the waking world. Would Arya leave her? Maybe. Probably. She had a pup with Nerah, how was Elena supposed to compete with that? Besides, she was a cat, Nerah a dog. Like attracts like, that's the law of the universe; by being together, Arya and Elena were breaking it.
But I don't want to lose her.
I love her.
Elena stumbled into the underbrush, fat tears spilling from her eyes and creeping their way down her cream colored cheeks. Her sobs came out sounding like little squeaks, as if she were a mouse caught under the cruel paw of it's hunter. Love is a cruel paw, she thought, and lay her weary head down.

onyx orbs were punctuated by a watery film, tiredness obvious in their dark depths. she was so confused about everything in her life anymore – she was lost without her guide, she was lost without elena. and yet, she could not find it within herself to find her love, to find the protector, and holder, of her heart. after the feline had been at the cult camp, along with arya and several others, she had disappeared – arya could only imagine why. the female blanched, hoping with all of her heart and soul that elena hadn’t heard her confession of love to nerah – it was two different kinds of love, but she hadn’t had time to explain… and maybe she never would.

Elena closed her eyes and whimpered, as if her heartache was causing her physical pain. I am so alone, she thought, Without Arya, I have absolutely no one in this world. No friend. No lover. No worth.
She let her body go entirely limp, flopping over onto her side and not even stirring to swat away the flies alighting on her flanks. A squeaky little sob escaped from her, making her chest hitch. She tried to stop the tears, but they kept coming and coming, soaking the earth beneath her face like a spring shower. Why, Arya, why have you done this...

arya let her wanderlust carry her, even though her weary paws protested beneath her weight; her paws felt lead lined, her pawpads itched and burned as they were forced against the seeds of the grass. when arya was honest with herself, she knew that she was really only wandering around, forcing this fatigue on her muscles, in order to find elena. that creamy feline, with her baby blue eyes, was what kept arya getting up in the morning; she was the sweetest soul in the world, and though the two were young, and slightly naïve, and some might say that the two rushed into their relationship, arya felt nothing but love for the feline. and she needed to find her!

Lying in her prone position, Elena heard the approaching steps of another creature--probably a canine from the sounds of it. She tensed and sighed; she was in no mood for company. She let out a little yowl and hiss, then called sharply, "Go away, please, whoever you are. I am having a very bad day and have no wish for company of any sort."
The steps kept coming, however; perhaps this canine hadn't heard her? Elena yelled, louder this time: "Go AWAY!" Surely the dog would hear that, and hopefully heed it. The last thing Elena wanted was to make small talk with some random stranger.
