he was warm. he was safe. he didn't want to leave this place, but it was so small...but he was safe! eventually, it wasn't up to the male as to whether or not he would be deposited on the cold, hard, ground. his pod broke beneath him, and he fell towards the earth, his fall only broken by the thorny ropes that were wrapped around the branches of this tree.
hershey fell to the ground with a thud, and whimpered slightly. it hurt! the little pup tried to clamber to his feet, to get off the cold, hard, and most of all, wet, ground! after standing, a bit wobbly, for about a half second, hershey collapsed back to the ground again with a howl. he wanted his mommy!

Kayalee strolled through the orchard for old times sake. A few deep scratches she had earned were now just scars that would most likely be permanent. Kayalee stopped when she heard a howl that summoned someone, or something. How would she know? She wasn't a canine. She trotted through the orchard until she came upon a pup that had just fallen from it's pod. She thought the canine was a male, but couldn't be sure by just the scent. The sun reflected off Kayalee's silvery fur as she meowed, "Hello, pup." She sat by the little canine, wondering if it was dropped in the orchard like herself, or born of two canines.
