and that was the day that i promised i'd never sing of love if it does not exist She'd been awake for awhile now, watching the world go on around her with eyes full of wonder. The pod she'd fallen out of had long since gone back to the ground, leaving her black and white form laying peacefully beneath her birth tree. Though she wasn't sure of the world around her, she was sure that her name was Hype, and that she had a voice in her head named Lazer. For the first few hours after she had fallen from the pod she had engaged in conversation with Lazer. The voice, who was also a girl, had already taught her a great many things about the world. The sky wasn't really blue, the grass was green, and there were other beings like herself, though she had yet to see any. Hype rather enjoyed these conversations, as she could both speak aloud and in her head and Lazer would hear. "How do you know so much?" Hype questioned, her voice breaking the peaceful silence of the orchard. I'm not sure, really. Lazer replied in Hype's head. I just know. Almost like I've learned it all before. Hype nodded, completely accepting this mysterious fact as normal.
Do you think I should go explore now? Hype asked via thought. There was a brief silence as Lazer mulled over the question. I don't see why not. You should go find friends and a mate. The black and white canine nodded in agreement, her blue eyes searching around her. She had no idea how to go about finding friends, or a mate, but she was willing to try. Rising to her paws, she shook out her coat. "Here goes nothing." She said.

J A R V ! S "Urhg... Mmmm..."
The silver tom cat stumbled, small white paws clumsy on the unfamiliar ground. All of this was quite strange to him; there was a voice in his head... Her name was Lily. She guided him to... Fall...? It sure felt like it; such vertigo had overcome him as he woke, a soft yellow cradling his vision as he emerged into the sun. Big blue eyes with flecks of white jetting through them blinked repeatedly, almost unable to process all this magnificent color spread before him. A silver and white tail swished back and forth as the little feline recalled what Lily had told him... With a voice sweet as honey, she spoke his name. Only once, but it would stay with him forever, he was sure. The one, funny word solidly planted in his mind like a seed by a careful gardener.
Jarvis.
That was it. Jarvis; although the silver cat had to admit it sounded a little funny, he began to like the ring of it as it drifted through his thoughts. Jarvis the Great, traveling through lands as none had done before him, creator of the sky, discoverer of the color yellow...
As these childish words polluted the silver tom's brain, his steps grew surer as he walked around the tree, tail raised and neck upright–
Oh gosh.
"Oh! Hello there, I'm Jarvis!" The words leaped from the little cat's mouth the second he laid eyes upon the black and white canine. Jarvis could tell right away that this was not his species, and began to wonder if it was a bad idea getting it's attention. He started to step back, but Lily's voice echoed within him.
Have an open mind, young one...
With that, Jarvis's backbone was straighter and more solid than before. It was funny; he could almost feel it getting stronger with every passing moment. His big blue eyes were bright once again, and he couldn't help but give a tiny purr at the thought of a new friend. An aud flicked curiously as he tilted his head to the side, crouching slightly as he veered closer to the canine.
