Hey, what were all those guys doing without him? Others had appeared, out of the blue. He watched a slim one, with a dark pelt tumble down a hill and it sparked a pleasant sensation that gleamed for a moment in his eye. Loping up the hill with slippery paws was a trial of its own but he made it, and stopped some yards away from the two interacting. Noises, some simple things were slipping from their tongues. Hello? What was hello? It was something with a natural feel, a sound that he wanted to duplicate immediately, even if it wasn't his conversation. That didn't really bother him, and he shuffled closer, staring at them.

"Hello." He tried, talking to himself more than the others. But it seemed strange to direct the word to himself. His voice was deeper than the other beings but not by much, the wear of age not yet reaching it.

[Aries]

Antares watched as the two canines wrestled, getting hurt was not on his list of things to do. Then the black canine made a strange sound. Soon both of them chimed in. He wondered if he could do such a thing too.

"H-he-hell-o" Antares struggled to get the word to slip off of his tongue. His voice was small, and low compared to the others. Slightly raspy at the first usage of his vocal chords.

"M-my na-name i-is Antares" his name easily spoken, unlike the other words. He didn't even know where it came from, it was just meant to be.

He turned around at the noise of the other canine shuffling up the hill, also mimicking the others. "W-who are you?" Antares almost bounced, we was happy at the concept of so many others being around. Not nearly as nervous as he was before.

[Meesh]

Silva turned her head as another canine appeared, a canine like herself. She gave a loud bark of greeting as the brown male padded over. "Hellohello" she said, her voice having a tinge of an odd accept [russian] making it sound just a bit different form the others. She wagged her tail happily as she spoke. so many new friends! She tried repeating the words she said before "My name Silva. Is. My names IS Silva" she corrected herself, proud at her accomplishement

This was talking.

Nerah liked talking.

Talking opened up new worlds of possibilities for the newborns. With talking came words, and with words came ideas beyond the basic "play", "walk", "hunger" motivations. With talking, they would be able to interact with each other on a completely different level than what was previously available. The brown canine was shivering in excitement and anticipation. What else would they learn? How else would they be able to interact with each other and their surroundings? Time and discovery would tell. She couldn't wait! This was all just so exciting!

The other female continued to speak, and Nerah realized after a moment that she was giving a name. She was labeling herself so they would have a word to use to refer to her specifically. A special word that applied to her and only her. Oh, how fun! Nerah wanted one of those too!

But wait, she had one!

"Mm...my naim Nerah," she attempted. Not perfect, but close enough. She couldn't help it: she howled. They were talking! They were all talking! And learning!

[Meesh]

Silva gave a grin as the female gave her name. Nerah. She liked it. She liked Silva better, she supposed, but Nerah was a good name. Silva wondered if the males had names, or maybe only females had them. She looked at them curiously.

She jumped back, eyes widening as her new friend howled. Howling sounded like so much fun. She just had to join in! Lifting her head, she attempted a shaky howl in return, a howl growing in volume as she got the hang of it. Hey, this WAS fun!

Yamir would hardly call any of these creatures his friends, but at least they weren't trying to eat him. Speaking (thinking, rather) of, he was still hungry. He eyed the tiny black feline that stuttered (Antares? It would grow on him, perhaps) and the corners of his lips drooped thoughtfully. Who was he? He blinked. What did that mean? Well, he supposed that he should be called something. He wanted something elegant, something that would sound nice when he spoke, like hello. Vocals fluctuated in his head, locking together and twisting apart, and he thought up all sorts of weird names, until he settled on one he liked the sound of. "Yamir."

He started as the others began howling, his shoulders tensing. It was too loud, too wild on his new senses. Not his fancy. His lip curled but he watched in silence, not wanting to disrupt their fun. Nerah, Silva, and Antares - and now Yamir. So very unique, but none of them seemed to know exactly what they were doing here.

[Aries]

Antares was completely infatuated in the concept of speaking. He couldn't stop repeating his and the others' names. It was just.. awesome! Learning so fast was clouding his though process, but the canines started howling again.

He sat roughly on the ground and flattened his ears at the unbearable noise of the canines' howling. It wasn't quite as painful as it was annoying now. He though he might as well try to drown some of it out by making some noise himself. Antares started yowling at the top of his lungs, it didn't help. He stopped and turned to the brown patterned canine.

"Sh-shouldn't we explore s-some?" Antares's ears perked up at the thought.

[Meesh]

Silva stopped as she heard the feline speak. She blinked, concentrating on the words until the meaning became clear in her head "Oh, exploring? Lets gogogo! Maybe we'll find something, or someone, or other stuff like that" she rambled on, voice pitching up into a yip.

She grinned as the canine gave his name "So you're Yamir, you're Antares, you're Nerah, and I'm silva. We have good names~"

Thinking, she pointed her tail west "I saw some foresty thingies there. Maybe we can travel and see what we see?"

A couple of the others had joined in the howling, and their voices rang through the land, sounding out the pure bliss that was existing...at least, that's how she interpreted it. This life thing was fun, but there was so much to do and see that it almost overwhelmed her.

The feline suggested they explore, and Nerah let out an excited bark. "Yes! Yes! I wanna see wehld!" She had a lot of practicing to do to get her words sounding as nice as Silva's, but she wasn't bothered. There would be time for that. There was always time for learning and fun!

[Meesh]

Silva looked west. If you concentrated far enough, you could see a plain of sorts, but one with a blueish tinge. that looked like a fun place to explore. She yipped to get the others attention, pointing her nose towards the plain. "Lets travel there!" she called, standing and stretching. "We might find something really super duper epicly fun!"

[So, I'm guessing if we all agree to go, we have to post some sort of exiting rp saying we're going to layer 2, and then someone starts a thread on the Blue Plain, saying its a continuation of this. Then we can continue rping. I guess, fi you want to continue on to the next thread, post some sort of exiting roleplay here. Once at least half of us post some sort of exit rp, I could make the thread on the blue Plain? :3 and then we could close up this topic]

[Aries]

Antares pulled himself to his feet, not so wobbly anymore. He started padding a bit in the direction Silva had suggested, the blue-ish tinge of the hills beyond could be seen from where he stood. He thought it could be fun exploring other places, maybe a bit of danger would be involved. However, he was confident they would over come whatever would lie ahead. With a flick of his tail he trotted with a confident bounce in his step. Excitement surged through his muscles. He wanted to sprint as fast as he could to those great blue hills.

"I wonder what's b-beyond here?" the bounce in his step grew larger as he spoke.

[crumblebread]

"Yes, names are nice. Explore..." Yamir repeated, the word rolling off his tongue with an unintentional tone of contempt. A long gust of air left his mouth and he looked them all over. Would he survive if he ran off without them? Probably not - certainly not - but he liked to feel superior anyway, even though his voice was croaky and he was klutzy. "Hm." His own ego was expanding and he'd been alive for just hours. "If we find food over there..." He eyed the direction Silva pointed to with automatic distaste, "then yes."

The shadowy canine was looking west, and Nerah followed her gaze. Beyond was a sort of plain, different from where they currently were. The brown canine wondered what secrets it held, just waiting to be revealed to the four creatures. It seemed inviting enough.

The shadowy canine suggested they travel there, and Nerah barked excitedly. "I wanna see what dere! Maybe others like us?" More friends, perhaps ones that knew more about this strange world, could possibly be awaiting them just beyond their birthplace. Or, maybe, this group was the beginning and they were meant to explore and learn and pass down their knowledge once they knew enough so that the other newborns would know more sooner. Either way, she was eager to go.

"Race!" She ran at her top speed toward the plain, tripping and stumbling all over the place but picking herself right back up and continuing whenever she fell. Her tail never ceased to wag.

Adventure!
