aboriginal feline
The Aboriginal Feline (aelurus indigena) is the most common species in the subfamily Felifictus. Most natives of this species have medium length coats and large, bushy tails. They are characterized by their lithe frames, and long legs. The Aboriginal Feline is the most populous feline native found in the False World, and is the only species in its genus with a steady birth rate. The Aboriginal Feline develops prenatally from cocoons grown from trees in the Orchard. It is by will of nature that these cocoons develop. The Aboriginal Feline emerges from its cocoon when its host tree has bequeathed it consciousness and immunity of age.
The typical Aboriginal ranges from about 24 to 39 inches from head to the base of the tail. At the shoulder, an average female stands from 9 to 15 inches, and the male stands in a range of 12 to 18 inches. Respectively, they weigh in at a range of 16 to 28 pounds, and 21 to 35 pounds.
Aboriginal Felines do not fair well in extreme conditions and are restricted to predominantly flat land and temperate climates.

occult feline
The Occult Feline (aelurus praevideat) is an uncommon species in the subfamily Felifictus. They are recognizable by their stocky builds, rounded ears, and long, sloped foreheads. The Occult Feline exists primarily as result of the amplification of the Aboriginal Feline. Only in rare instances have natives been reported emerging from their cocoons in Occult form.
On average, an Occult Feline is about 21 to 32 inches at the shoulders. Given gender differences, the range of length from head to the base of the tail is about five foot on average. However, females can be a small as three feet, and males can be as large as seven. The lightest Occult Felines are females, able to weigh in around 50 pounds, and the heaviest, strictly males, can reach nearly 180 pounds.
The Occult Feline has a gift of clairvoyance that allows it to anticipate future events by use of visions or dreams of which they have little control. These visions may or may not pertain to the one who sees them. The Occult Feline is not a mind reader, but the species' ability is particularly sensitive to the sense of hearing. Sound overstimulates an Occult's primary auditory cortex, an area of the brain aggravated by the modified hippocampus and limbic system that is responsible for their clairvoyance. This anatomy of the brain makes it difficult if not impossible for Occults to live in environments producing constant sound--namely, oceans, rivers, and other large bodies of water. They are more so conditioned to live in barren territories like wastelands or savannas. Windstorms or pouring rain can also cause discomfort, and may invoke illness.
abilities, can "foresee" things to come, or anticipate future events through visions and/or dreams; they are not mind readers; have a "sixth sense" or a clairvoyance that helps them interpret the world differently.

absconding feline
The Absconding Feline (aelurus decidet) is a rare species in the subfamily Felifictus. They are by far the largest feline of their genus, but are built lower to the ground than the Occult or Aboriginal. Absconding Felines are densely furred, round-eared, and have tails typically longer than their total body length. Absconding species have never been emerged directly from the Orchard. They proceed the form of the Occult Feline in the chronological evolution of a native lifespan.
6.5 feet is the average length of a grown Absconding Feline from head to base of the tail. Males have been recorded to reach nearly 8.5 feet at maximum, and females have measured just over 5.5 feet at minimum. They stand at an average 39 inches at the shoulder, and weigh in at a broad range of 180 to 475 pounds.
Absconding species are able to exploit the fragility of the False World by manipulating intangible gaps in matter. These gaps reconstruct themselves by bridging to matter elsewhere in the world. From any given gap, a bridge extends to every point within the False World, and the Absconding Feline can employ these bridges to move from place to place at will, taking only a fraction of a second. Absconding species are able to identify gaps via an extension of their occipital lobe called the deprehendero cortex. The appearance of these gaps may differ depending on the individual.
While their ability simplifies travel, Absconding Felines are unable to use bridges into tight, enclosed spaces, like underground tunnels, or caverns. Such spaces exacerbate the deprehendero cortex and can lead to severe debilitation or death if an Absconding species is trapped in a confined area too long.
abilities, can disappear from one place and reappear at another at will; makes "layer jumping" obsolete

aboriginal canine
The Aboriginal Canine (canarius indigena) is the most common species in the subfamily Canifictus. Coat is of a mid-length range at the upper body, thinning at the legs. These canines have tall, upright ears, long muzzles, and have relatively short tails given their length. The Aboriginal Canine is the only species in its genus with a steady birth rate. It develops prenatally from cocoons grown from trees in the Orchard. It is by will of nature that these cocoons develop. The Aboriginal Canine emerges from its cocoon when its host tree has bequeathed it consciousness and immunity of age.
At the shoulder, Aboriginal Canines can range from 20 to 26 inches. They are longer than they are tall and measure about 22 to 30 from head to base of tail. Males weigh in around at 66 to 80 pounds, and females weigh in at 49 to 71 pounds.
Aboriginal Canines do not fair well in extreme conditions and are restricted to predominantly flat land and temperate climates.

occult canine
The Occult Canine (canarius praevideat) is an uncommon speices in the subfamily Canifictus. Their ears are bear-like and round, and they have characteristically small eyes and heavy brow lines. They have a great breadth, their stance wide, and their bodies thick. The Occult canine exists primarily as result of the amplification of the Aboriginal Canine. Only in rare instances have natives been reported emerging from their cocoons in Occult form.
Occult Canines stand roughly 27 to 33 inches at the shoulder, the smallest being female, and the largest male. 80 to 160 pounds is the typical weight range for females, and 110 to 210 pounds for males.
The Occult Canine has a gift of clairvoyance that allows it to anticipate future events by use of visions or dreams of which they have little control. These visions may or may not pertain to the one who sees them. The Occult Canine is not a mind reader, but the species' ability is particularly sensitive to the sense of hearing. absconding canine
The Absconding Canine (canarius decidet) is a rare species in the subfamily Canifictus. This species is recognizible for its thin, sharp muzzle, and large ears. It has a sizable tail length as compared to others in its genus, and a well-defined build. The jaw of an Absconding Canine is the most powerful in the False World. Absconding species have never emerged directly from the Orchard. They proceed the form of the Occult Canine in the chronological evolution of a native lifespan.
The Absconding Canine can reach 41 inches in shoulder height. Males can be 6.5 feet in length, with females as small as 4 feet. Their weight range is as broad as that of their feline counterparts; minimum at 190 pounds, with an upper bracket at roughly 525 pounds.
Absconding species are able to exploit the fragility of the False World by manipulating intangible gaps in matter. These gaps reconstruct themselves by bridging to matter elsewhere in the world. From any given gap, a bridge extends to every point within the False World, and the Absconding Canine can employ these bridges to move from place to place at will, taking only a fraction of a second. aboriginal reptile
The Aboriginal Reptile (draconis indigena) is the most common species in the subfamily Dracofictus. They are finely scaled, and are recognized by feathered crests along the back of their forelegs, tail-tip, and along their spine. Aboriginal Reptiles are bipedal. Even with birth rates substantially lower than their canine and feline counterparts, the Aboriginal Reptile is the only species in its genus steadily supplied. It develops prenatally from cocoons grown from trees in the Orchard. It is by will of nature that these cocoons develop. The Aboriginal Reptile emerges from its cocoon when its host tree has bequeathed it consciousness and immunity of age.
The smallest of any Aboriginal, the Reptile has a shoulder height of 7 to 14 inches. Size differences between genders are small, but females on average make up the lower quartile. From the head to the base of the tail, Aboriginal Reptiles measure under 20 inches but no less than 15. Weight range is characteristically light at 9 to 18 pounds.
Aboriginal Reptiles do not fair well in extreme conditions and are restricted to predominantly flat land and temperate climates.

occult reptile
The Occult Reptile (draconis praevideat) is an uncommon species in the subfamily Dracofictus. They are squat and thick-limbed with large scales, and dense fringing along the length of their neck, back, and tail. Occult Reptile foreheads are longer and flatter than their Aboriginal predecessors. They are both bipedal and quadrupedal, though individuals usually have their own preference. The Occult Reptile exists primarily as result of the amplification of the Aboriginal Reptile. Only in rare instances have natives been reported emerging from their cocoons in Occult form.
Shoulder height for Occult Reptiles when standing on four legs is 17 to 24 inches, and length from head to base of the tail is 2.5 to 4 feet. Females primarily do not exceed 3.25 feet, while males are rarely less than 3 feet. Weight is variable, and encompasses a range of 25 to 96 pounds, making them the smallest of the Occults.
The Occult Reptile has a gift of clairvoyance that allows it to anticipate future events by use of visions or dreams of which they have little control. These visions may or may not pertain to the one who sees them. The Occult Reptile is not a mind reader, but the species' ability is particularly sensitive to the sense of hearing. absconding reptile
The Absconding Reptile (draconis decidet) is a rare species in the subfamily Dracofictus. These lithe natives have a heavy, feathered mane and a crane-like neck. Their elongated bodies maximize their flexibility despite their mass. Absconding Reptiles are hailed for their impeccable vision, and for their lethal talons. Absconding species have never emerged directly from the Orchard. They proceed the form of the Occult Reptile in the chronological evolution of a native lifespan.
Including their tails, Absconding Reptiles can reach almost 20 feet in length at maximum. However, measuring only from head to the tail base, they range from 5 to 10 feet long. They average about 3 ft in shoulder height, though their arcing necks give them added height. The largest of this species near 450 pounds, while the smallest can dip below 220. On average, they are the smallest of the Absconding species.
Absconding species are able to exploit the fragility of the False World by manipulating intangible gaps in matter. These gaps reconstruct themselves by bridging to matter elsewhere in the world. From any given gap, a bridge extends to every point within the False World, and the Absconding Reptile can employ these bridges to move from place to place at will, taking only a fraction of a second. MIXES

canine-feline mix
The Canine-Feline Mix (iunctura lupardus) is a rare species in the subfamily Duofictus. This species sports the best of both canine and feline species, though it varies between individuals. Most have retractable claws, an agile bone structure, and the lengthy tail of a cat, while also having the mass, bite, and head of a dog. Mixed species are grouped with other Aboriginal species because of their uncommon, but nonetheless existent, birth rate in the Orchard. These births are mostly result of the joining of two natives of different species.
Mixes come in a wide range of size. From head to base of the tail, they fall primarily within the combined range of the Aboriginal Canine and Feline (22 to 39 inches), but are known to defy this standard. Shoulder height is 12 to 26, the lower quartile of this range being exclusively female. Weight can be as low as 20 pounds and as high as 80.
When faced with maturation as expected in the False World, Canine-Feline mixes are able to choose between Feline and Canine Occult forms, and again when they later develop into Absconding forms.
Like Aboriginals, mixes do not fair well in extreme conditions and are restricted to predominantly flat land and temperate climates.
