...But is this site dying? The inactivity is worrying me a lot. It's the summer, I'm not sure why so many members would be busy right now compared to other times of the year. I may be paranoid or just impatient. Looking at an old, dead site I was at probably isn't helping me. Right, so those are my thoughts, do with them what you will.

We average about twelve users having logged in daily, I wouldn't call that dying, haha. I'd only begin worrying if we dipped below five, maybe. While role playing has been slow lately, I have no worries about losing the community here. We have dedicated users that have stuck with us for seasons, and I don't think they'll be going anywhere. Despite the fact that it's summer, AFW is unique in that we attract a huge age range. Many users are beyond the age where summer makes a difference. People have obligations to their jobs, which take up even more time than school would in many cases. I'm simply happy people take the time to log into their accounts, despite their schedules.
I'd like to get some events going, but the staff in particular seems very busy this season, myself included. My only worries about this site currently, is cbox inactivity. Despite our log ins, not many take the time to stop in the cbox. In my experience, even if no one is online, people post a friendly message or two. Potential members will be looking for a fun, chatty community; simply role playing isn't enough. One of the reasons I have the cbox set to display date and time only on hover is because I know our community doesn't post in there with enough frequency. Guests can easily judge the activity level of the site based on plainly visible dates in chat. If there's anything to be concerned about, it's that.

This site doesn't die ever. ^.^ No need to worry. Like Embers said, the staff and others have been busy. Well...everyone else has been busy. I got sick and then had a lot to catch up on (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!). Things should pick up eventually.
