He was warm, comfortable, and safe, or well he had been anyway. Now though he was beginning to feel uncomfortable, and too warm, although the sense of safety was still there it was slowly fading as time went on and he began feeling more and more trapped. He didn't know exactly when things had changed for himself. All he knew was one day he started feeling separated from himself, and then he became self-aware in a sense. He at least became aware that he was himself and was inside of something instead of being a part of it. Slowly he started feeling empty on the inside of himself and he wondered if maybe something was inside of him, in the same way he was in whatever it was he was in.
The feeling of being trapped was slowly starting to get stronger and stronger and the sense of safety was going away more and more, he really didn't like that at all. He was starting to want to get away, from what he wasn't quite sure. Perhaps it was the fact that he was getting too large for whatever it was he was in. He had noticed it just lately, he was getting to big for this thing. Curiously he pushed forward with his being. Although he didn't know it yet, it was called his paw, and it just so happened that his claws were out. With a soft but at the same time harsh ripping sound he was plunged out darkness into blinding brightness. He closed himself off to the sensation of the light and so he didn't see the fact that he was falling.
The young feline most certainly felt the landing though as his breathe was knocked out of him as he hit the ground with a quiet thud. It hurt not a whole lot, but as it was his first experience of the sensation it was rather overwhelming. he curled back into the fetal position he had been in for so long and vanished into a comforting embrace of darkness. As he slept he didn't dream. Perhaps it was because he was so newly born and had no experiences with which his mind would use to make him dreams. Either way he was calm and would hopefully the sleep would help him recover from the shock of being born.
