It would begin in darkness, it was all she would know. A silent darkness and peace, never fully aware of herself or what was around her. The unborn didn't think in the same way living would, and in the end they would emerge not remembering much about their life in the pod. But it would differ for every newborn, to every individual. After a while the pup would not remember much, maybe remember a feeling but only a reverie, and not the full effect. Never would she stir, because that was for the born. Until fully-developing she would remain in the leafy womb, in a sleep-like state waiting to emerge. Her dark world was warm, it was cozy and it was all hers. So why want to leave it? It wasn't a matter of want, but more of a need. The pod would not house her forever, nothing lasted forever,
And then she stirred. For the first time the pup would wake, and feel. That first moment when something was inside her, like a knot. It would then blossom into a full emotion; unease. This was not normal, the experience was strange. Something was moving, was it supposed to happen? It was still dark, but not peaceful, and the warmth had been disrupted a bit. The moving air had caused something, something that felt bitter. It scalded her delicate skin, but without any heat. It was such a new experience, was it cold? And so her first word would be processed, matching the word with the feeling. The newborn was experiencing cold. And then something would disturb her closed eyelids, but what?
Light, it was something called light. The opposite of her comfortable dark, it felt uncomfortable at first. And then more cold air would rush in, leaving the pup feeling exposed to the world for the first time. No longer was she wrapped in a warm cocoon of coziness, and instead something was opening up her world. And then rolling, shifting from position to position until it all stopped, and it was warm again. Her sensitive lids reacted to the new, lit world and opened. Two emerald green eyes would peek out, seeing the land for the first time. Chyrie, with a nod the pup would accept the name as her own. Rising from a lying position she would sit up straight, taking it all in.

"Hello?" A voice called, gently spoken, but still loud against newly-awoken ears. A feline padded forward, light flickering over her dark coat as she measured her steps, picking carefully over the grass and leaves. "Are you alright?" Masafae asked, sitting down delicately before the canine. The other's arrival seemed even more disorienting than her own had been, so Masafae afforded the other a few moments to order their thoughts, the feline casting idle glances around; she still had much to learn about this new place, it seemed.
How odd, it was to her, that the sunlight would cast so between branches, and not simply trickle straight down. It was at once heavy and immaterial, casting light motes about the entire orchard, and yet unable to be grasped by paw or pod. The trees, too, she found magnificent, standing tall and immortal. She wondered, vaguely, how her kind could come from such trees- Trees, after all, have no fur to speak of, and no feathers, and certainly furred and feathered things have come from such trees. Masafae let out a little sigh, giving her head a delicate shake. Perhaps that was enough retrospection for one moment. She turned her attention back to the canine, finding herself hoping, strangely, for some sort of companionship.

With emerald eyes she would observe the newcomer, taking in every detail of the creature. Folded ears would prick up at sound of her voice, it was all new to her. But something whispered the knowledge of the world, like a voice inside of her head. But it wasn't instinct, it was a knowing. A bit of knowledge that had been soaked up into her mind, even before she was fully aware of life. Was it the Orchard whispering the knowledge into her delicate ears? Or maybe brought by another force? Questions would flood the youngsters mind, ones she felt would never be answered in such a large world with so much knowledge. Small thoughts would turn into a tidal wave of inquiry, and a spark of curiosity.
Having already mastered language first words would come off her tongue with surprising ease, spoken in a calm tone. "Hello." the pup would nod in greeting, a small smile crossing her maw. So this was the world? How many lived here? At the second inquiry the lass would chuckle, "Ah yes, just new." new, that was what she was. Lacking much experience in the world, and definitely walking the lands for the first time. "What is your name? I am Chyrie." the female would give her chest a quick lick, smoothing down stray hairs before looking back up with brilliant emerald orbs.

Masafae watched the other, keeping her blazing eyes on the canine, but did offer a small smile at having her questions answered. It would seem she were not a prodigy in mastering these few actions quickly, which was exciting. How much knowledge would be given to them? "I am Masafae," She greeted back, delicately curling her tail around her paws. "It is nice to finally meet someone." She glanced towards the forest a bit, taking in the stillness and quiet. If there were others, it seemed, they weren't here, the woods far too still.
"Perhaps we should see about travelling elsewhere..." Masafae mused, swishing her tail just a bit. She glanced back at Chyrie, amending a bit. "If you do not mind my companionship, that is." She really would hate to impose upon others. Although, she supposed, travelling alone did, indeed, have its advantages.

Her smile would widen at the mention of travel, then subdue a bit as she calmed. Eyes brightly lit she would give a small nod, "It is nice to meet you also. And I don't mind at all, it would be nice to have company. The world looks to big to travel alone in..." turning her head the copper pup would scan the landscape, heavily intrigued yet unsure of what the world had in store for her. Maybe it would bring great fortune, or poor look. But she would not know until the world was was unveiled, and until then she would be inexperienced and new to life. Ah it must have been luck to run into this lass though, one who would assist in travels. What would the world through at them? The beauty was quite excited to find out.
