Well, if you devolve you keep the powers of the evolved form, and the restrictions are because it hinders their abilities, so I'd say if you'r an aboriginal with absconding powers, you'd be restricted from places abscondings can't be. Ems is going to have to confirm though, as she's the only person who really knows.

You have both sets of restrictions. Congratulations, your character can't be RPed anywhere. XD
So wait, does that mean that abscondings who evolved each step can't access the aboriginal or occult restricted areas either?

No, no.
I think I was thinking wrong.
Occult are restricted from watery areas because they're built for savannas (African Wild Dogs and Lions), Aboriginals because they're too weak to withstand hard environments, and Abscondings because caves make them unable to teleport.

So the absconding restrictions are restrictions for everyone with teleportation, while the other restrictions are solely about that particular form?
