Experience is accumulated in a variety of ways, most notably posting--for which two experience points are rewarded--from contests, prompt threads, random events, and site contributions. This is a list of stocked "items" that you may purchase by cashing in your experience.

To purchase an item, please reply to the "Purchasing" thread, that can also be found in this board. You will fill out a short form, and a staff member will promptly attend to your request.

RIVER CLAY, twenty five exp

A highly moldable, red clay found along the edges of rivers. It is high in minerals and can be used as a mineral lick to obtain essential nutrients. Its after-effects are known to occur within the day after consumption, but can often be delayed.

This allows the buyer to rewrite the description of an existing character, keeping the image provided in mind. This, for example, could let the buyer change a description of being small, squat, bulky, etc, but will not alter coat, eye color, or species.

FAIRY MINNOW, forty exp

A six-inch long fish that scavenges the shallows for debris and live in tightly knit schools. While they are plentiful, they are difficult to catch. If their flesh is ingested, effects will take place in less than an hour.

This allows the buyer to change the gender of an existing character, or a character in the Adoption Center which they already have rights to claim.

SACRED APIANA BLOSSOM, fifty exp

A strongly aromatic flower used for its ability as spritual cleanser. The Apiana scent seves as a barricade, masking the possessor from the eye of the entities of the False World.

This grants the buyer immunity from receiving random events. Two random events are given out to users daily, one being positive and the other negative--up to 25% EXP can be granted or up to 20% can taken away. By purchasing this, you are exempt from receiving either type of event.

NANTOSUELTA WASP, fifty exp

An amber encased wasp caught mid-flight. The bee is thought to be a symbol of abundance and fertility and is spiritually connected to the Orchard trees.

This increases the buyers' characters' chance of having multiple offspring from the Orchard, their fertility, and ensures that at least one offspring will be born.

CHAMELEON HIBISCUS, ninety exp

A thick-petaled flower whose showy, yellow fringe changes color as temperatures dip and rise. The petals of this flower are edible and have a faintly mint-like flavor. Its effects take place over the course of a day.

This allows the buyer to change the appearance of an existing character to another common pattern and/or color they choose. To find a list of colors, check the IC Reference board. This does not include patterns in the last two sub categories for feline species, and the last sub category for canine and reptilian species.

PETRIFIED KATA-HAL WOOD, one hundred exp

A paw-sized chunk of bark from the Orchard's Kata-Hal tree, now stone-like and heavy. As part of one of the most sacred living things of the False World, this petrified wood has restorative abilities, reverting its possessor back to their previous physical forms.

This allows the buyer to "devolve" an existing character. The character this is used upon will devolve into the appearance of its previous species while keeping their previously acquired abilities.

VARIIQUE BRUCHUS, one hundred fifty exp

A metallic, gold beetle with the ability to alter their reflective shells to mimic the spotted black and red ladybird. When caught unharmed, these rare insects share their gift of physical transformation by will of the False World.

This allows the buyer to change the appearance of an existing character to any pattern and/or color they choose. To find a list of colors, check our IC Reference board. This includes all categories of patterns.

NOCTURNAL MANTICHORA, one hundred seventy five exp

An easily disguised beetle with running speeds reaching six miles per hour despite its two inch length. They are rarely spotted, but when one grows crafty enough to catch the mantichora, they act as harbingers of maturation.

This allows the buyer to change the species of or "evolve" an existing character. Evolutions are restricted to feline to feline and canine to canine evolutions. A character may only evolve into the next rarest species. Meaning an Aboriginal may only evolve into an Occult, then an Absconding, etc. Characters will retain the abilities of all their previous species.

ADOPT A CURRENT CHARACTER'S OFFSPRING, forty exp

If your character has an offspring currently available to the public for adoption, you may take it for yourself at the cost of forty experience points; this is significantly cheaper than adopting an entirely new character. This does not apply to mixed species.

ADOPT A NEW CHARACTER, seventy five exp

This allows the buyer to adopt a new character from the adoption board. This does not expire, and may be used whenever the user sees a character they would like to adopt. This may only be used to adopt Aboriginals.

ADOPT A CURRENT CHARACTER'S MIXED OFFSPRING, one hundred exp

If your character has a mixed offspring currently available to the public for adoption, you may take it for yourself at the cost of one hundred and fifty exp experience points; this is significantly cheaper than adopting an entirely new mixed character.

ADOPT A NEW RARE CHARACTER, one hundred twenty five exp

The buyer is permitted to adopt a non-aboriginal character from the adoption center with this purchase. There is no guarantee such a character will be available at the time of purchase. This applies to mixes product of onsite breedings, and the rare instance of an occult.

CREATE YOUR OWN CHARACTER, one hundred fifty exp

This allows the buyer to create their own character from scratch. The character must be an aboriginal, but the buyer may choose any appearance, gender, and even decide the character is not newborn, thus giving it access to any setting already unlocked, and giving it a history.

NEW THREAD SLOT, twenty exp

This allows the buyer to enter an extra thread, one over the three thread per character limit, for an existing character. This is a one time use.

SETTING TIERS, one twenty five exp

This grants the buyer access to a tier of hidden settings otherwise unattainable. There are currently two tiers of hidden settings. The price doubles as the tier number increases.

CREATE YOUR OWN SUB BOARD, one hundred fifty exp

This allows the buyer to create their own sub board within any existing board on the forum, not including the Orchard. The buyer must name the board and write a description for it appropriately. This board will be permanent space on the forum and can benefit in character groups.
