It was time. It was time for the great start of a new life. As a gentle breeze flow across the land a brown and white reptile stood in the middle of it all. Her golden eyes flash about as she look at all of the unhatched pods and wonder what mysterious and adventures the creatures it held might have. She let out a smile and remembered how it all started.
She was merely in her pod yesterday and did not think there was a world beyond that pod. As she walk around and found her open pod she let out a sniff seeing that her scent was still fresh considering that she slept in yesterday. Memories came back to her in waves. She remember that all she did was curl up in her pod and slept or stare around at it tapping at it with her long hooked shiny talons. She would play games with herself of wondering what the pod might be protecting her from and she came up with this theorary about falling into an abyss. She chuckle as she remember how scared she was about this abyss she made up in her head of falling into nothing and being deleted out of existence.
As she lifted up her head towards the trees an image of her pod shaking and moving and hitting the ground hard was replay in her head. She remember how much she hated the outside world at first hissing and probably looking like a scared fool, but she was only a newborn and was still young, but she could no longer consider herself one now considering her days in the pod and exploring the land endlessly were over and done. She let out a sigh as she remember how she couldn’t breathe at first, but finally learn how to after breathing so hard from fear and catch her first mouse after a friendly newborn help her out. From then on she almost became a natural with hunting.
Her name was given to her by a random suggestion by a stranger. She had no idea she was named after the Greek Goddess of hunting and nature, but she like the sound to it. The name fit her well since the reptile was independent and one day would act very much like a protector of all species or so she would try. Her hunting skills were already good so that was an added bonus with her given name. That was when she first spoke and she had trouble saying hello and other simple words. Her speech was so broken it sounded like she had an accent and that frustrated her greatly. After a while though she got better and eventually could say a full sentence without having any broken speech, but it still exists when she introduces new words or words she hasn’t practice enough on.
After a while she started exploring her new land, the Orchard she found out later on and met all sorts of creatures. Her first encounter was with another reptile and then a canine and then a feline. They were all so different and unique yet the canines and felines seem to be the most dominate species making her species a rare bonus and she was even rarer with her coloration. She tilted her head as she remember seeing her first evolve canine, which happen to be fully grown and then another one talking about a pack later on. She let an amused chuckle remembering that fully evolved feline and pride full her as she remember seeing an evolved reptile, which was thought was fully grown, but this was just its first stage. She was still a bit confused about this whole evolution, but she wanted to get bigger too and she was highly ambitious to be one. She ponder about the canine/feline mix she saw, which she figure was just another grown canine and the genderless occult canine she saw, which still puzzled her, but she wasn’t going to judge it. She shook her head tirely and wonder what the next lands had in store for her. It wouldn’t surprise her if she saw even more bizzare things then what she saw in the Orchard, but at the moment she could think of nothing more bizzare than the encounters she met here.
The only thing she was disappointed about was not having this companion. She had seen the way that others interacted with one and she wanted to experience it. However she figure she would find one in the next land as she look at the orchard and let out a smile. This was her final goodbye.
