"We'll have just a little more time here-we need to learn to hunt." Ghost was hungry. She sniffed the air with her nose and smelled a rabbit. She raced after it, biting its neck. The dark brown rabbit went still and Ghost brought it back. She dropped it in front of Tallik. "Look at what I caught!" She barked in pride.

Tallik flattened his ears and sniffed at the hare curiously. He licked the fine, soft fur and his ears shot forth. It tasted like awesome. He licked it again before plunging his canines into the soft, delicious flesh. Thin red blood spilled out and stained his snow white fur. A crazed glare flashed in his eyes at the taste of blood. "Mmm! Nice catch, Ghost!" He spoke through a mouth filled with breakfast, a bit of blood dripping down his chin and onto his chest. He could feel the scarlet life juice in his fur, and found the sensation strangely... exciting.

Ghost was looking at the river when she heard Tallik bite into the medium sized, brown, puffy tailed, long furred rabbit. The crazed look in his eyes and face frightened Ghost. "Are you okay?" She asked, trying to hide her fear. Find a happy place. This was her happy place-the Orchard in a sunset, the river flowing steadily, the wind a cool breeze. She looked back at Tallik, wondering what he'd say. What if he tried to attack her? She could certainly defend herself now, but no one knows if and when he could or would grow bigger. What reason would Tallik have to attack her though?

His mind completely absorbed in the fresh kill before him, he didn't notice Ghost's words of worry. He plowed through the meal, and finally had his fill. Being so young, he still had a good amount of meat left on the bones of the hare, but the pup was too full to continue eating. He sat up from the meal and began preening his fur, getting each bit of the rabbit's life juices out of his fur. He continued grooming himself long after the blood was cleaned away, and still after he was completely clean.
