((This was the best I could do at the moment. Hope it's okay.))
She sure spent a lot of time in the orchard lately.
Nerah was here once again, looking around at the trees and checking on the pods they nourished, trying to guess which ones would be ready soon and which ones still had time. It had become a game, of sorts, for her, since the arrival of the world's first newborns in the longest time. The sight of so many young creatures filling the area had filled her heart with hope she had lost through the seasons where the world's population seemed to be dwindling. It had worried her, but those worries were gone now. The creatures weren't dying out like she had dreaded. Perhaps they had just gone through dry spell for some reason.
Ah, but none of that mattered. What mattered was that things were good and stable at this moment.
The large, multi-colored canine leaped over the cracked remains of a pod that had recently released its charge and looked around. She didn't see any creatures off-hand, but she could detect recent smells. Even if they were out of sight, they were nearby. Her first thought was to follow the scent trails and see where they led, but - before she decide to do so - her mind figured out an easier way of finding the creature that created the scent trail.
If they would answer.
She sat down, tilted her nose upward, and howled, trying to keep her voice gentle-sounding while also conveying excitement. She wanted them to come to her, not be frightened off.

An answering howl ran through the clearing. Scarcely before the howl finished its echo, a pop resounded as a black canine suddenly teleported in the clearing. "Aaah!" Silva yipped as she teleported about three feet over Nerah, gravity taking its course and making her fall on her slightly-bgger friend. "Whoops, sorry!" She yipped, scrambling off with all the clumsiness of a newly hatched pup. "I've got the where part to the point, it's just the 'how high up' that need some working on- and maybe a little more to the left" She chuckled, finally straightening up onto her own paws.
"So, are any of the pods wiggling around?" Silva sniffed the air, trying to detect that sticky-sweet smell that came form the nectar of a newly opened pod. The influx of new life had overjoyed the canine, who had been bounding around- along with Nerah- to greet almost every new pup in the area. "Maybe we can meet some more new ones today~"
She relaxed a bit next to her friend, looking up at the clouds. After a moment,t he canine stood, giving her friend a quick nuzzle. "On Second thought, think I may wander around a bit. I'll seeya later!" with a happy woof, the canine teleported off.
((Sorry, I needed to clear up a thread :3 If this gets active later, I'll definitely do my best to rejoin <3))

A noise called to him. Duff was just getting familiar with the sights, sounds, and smells of the Orchard but there was something about this particular sound that urged him toward it.
He ran quickly and with ease, bouncing lightly off the pads of his feet, enjoying his bountiful energy that seemed to be fueled by the fire of life. Duff was slim and smaller than most, even for a newly hatched feline, but he ran as though he were ten feet tall. His light fur a blur, he headed straight for the source of the noise and soon found himself face to face with an unfamiliar creature.
Though young and inexperienced, Duff noted on instinct that this creature was of an entirely separate species. She was much larger than he and seemed older as well, with multi-colored fur and a friendly face. Without much fear at all, Duff introduced himself. "Hi! I'm Duff," he said brightly. "I heard you call," he looked around, noting that no one else seemed to have followed the sweet sound of her voice. "Seems like it was specially for me!" Duff smiled up at the bigger creature. "What's your name?"

Her tail wagged as she heard the howl. She recognized that voice! She might have known her best friend was here, too. She waited patiently, knowing it wouldn't be long before the dark canine appeared.
Of course, she wasn't expecting her to come from above.
With a breathless "Oof!" Nerah all but collapsed under her friend's weight. It wasn't that Silva was heavy. Nerah could probably carry her if she had to. It was sudden, though, and she hadn't been prepared. One apology and clumsy scramble later, Nerah was free from the other canine's weight and she sat up, tail still wagging.
"No problem!" she yipped. "You're still better than me at all this." Granted, Nerah was getting better...slowly...
"I haven't seen any yet," she answered Silva's question about the pods. "Doesn't mean anything, though. I'm sure there's some recent hatches around, if nothing else."
The two waited for a bit, and then Silva decided to leave. Nerah nodded at her friend before she teleported. "You'd better hurry back!"
Soon after she was distracted by a blur of movement, and she watched as the feline ran toward her at an impressive speed. It was a male feline with the most gorgeous pale coat she had yet seen on a creature of either species. She was almost jealous, and would have been full-on jealous if she had still been her original color. She never disliked the way she looked, but even she had to admit her former brown coat was rather plain, and the honey-colored one she gained at her first evolution hadn't been much of an improvement. She was glad when her current colors had grown in.
She was distracted from her thoughts when the creature introduced himself. Her tail wagged harder, and she laughed when he said the howl had been for him. "Perhaps it was." She grinned. "I'm Nerah. It's nice to meet you." Her tail wagged. "I live in the maple forest, not too far from here. You should visit us, sometime." With that, she teleported away.
((Sorry. ^.^; Let's try this again when we're not all busy.))
