Kayalee padded through the wavy sweet grasses of her land, peering around, searching for telltale signs of rodents. She opened her wide Occult jaws and smelled deeply of the air. Her aqua eyes flashed and she crouched low to the ground, the tall grasses concealing most of her body from sight. She inched slowly through the grass, her muscles rippling underneath her thick pelt. She launched her body forward and sailed towards a rodent who was digging a new home for itself. She dispatched it quickly with a bite to the neck and gobbled it down hungrily. But, I'm still hungry. Kayalee thought, irritably.

Carnivorous instincts were eating Nixen from the inside out. He had seen plants that would grow about these places, apparently edible – he had seen some eat them, and they didn’t die, so eat least he assume they were edible – but plants seemed so unappealing. He had canine teeth, for crying out loud! Teeth that were made to puncture and tear, consume flesh, not silly little plants! He had wandered near and far, looking for things that were even somewhat consumable and of the meat variety. He would rather live off of carrion (which was a sad reality this past month) then eat plants. So naturally he was delighted when he had scented a rodent. His brown fur, which had been erring rather on the purple side as of late (the red pigmentation that was hinted lightly at seemed to have mutated somewhat), had actually stood on end. And he was quite upset when someone else had caught his catch! He moved with a silent speed towards the feline, eyes glinting with fury.

Kayalee's eyes widened slightly, Ah, what is this? She thought, An unknown scent/ Her head whirled around and she saw a shadowy shape of a canine moving at a dangerously quick pace toward her. The fur on the back of her neck stood tall and she bared her small, but sharp feline fangs. She leaped from the rock and stood facing this creature who had foolishly challenged her by first stepping onto her territory, and secondly challenging her. Even if her brain lay in peace, she wasn't afraid to knock this creature to its place. Her aqua eyes flashed with indigence. She unsheathed her dangerously sharp pearly white claws and flicked her slightly rounded occult ears as she lowered the front half of her body to the ground, preparing to pounce if the creature did not come to its senses and slow down.
((I thought Nixen was a feline, did you use a wrong name? .-. I'm asking because you said 'canine teeth')

Perhaps Nixen should have been a bit more afraid of the huge Occult feline that looked like it was about to battle him, but honestly, fear wasn't his thing right at the moment. he was hungry, and he was not going to be denied food - if he could win the fight against this brute, perhaps he could make it hunt for him, otherwise death would be its punishment. Mirror-flecked eyes sized up his opponent rapidly. It appeared to be a female, which wasn't very beneficial - Nixen wasn't below hitting the groin, and that was certainly a lot more painful for a male. However, the female appeared to be a lot larger than him, which meant if he could skip around and just hit her legs until she could not stand, the battle would be his. Her silver fur wouldn't be a problem - it would attract heat and make her warmer during the fight, not to mention she didn't blend in at all with the grass. Weaving towards the feline (for she seemed prepared to pounce), Nixen was ready to put his battle plan into action.

Kayalee growled lowly as she saw the feline sizing her up for a fight. he could tell that it was a feline, a very small one. An aboriginal. She waited and smelled the air, it was a male. Hmm, I don't particularly want to fight today, but I must defend the territory.... She waited until he was about a tail length from her and she leaped over his head and whirled around, now on the opposite side of him. She lashed out with a paw onto his side, attempting to push him to the ground, she missed, still unused to her large size. She peered through the grass, trying to pick up the small feline, but he blended well. She saw the quivering of grasses and pounced, attempting to land square on her opponent's shoulders.
