Alastair stirred from a dreamless sleep, he could tell by the chill of the air and the dew of the grass that the sun has only just barely peeked over the horizon. Something must have woken him..but he couldn't seem to remember. A very slight crunch, just to the left of him reminded him. By the sound of it, it was massive, but it didn't sound like it was stalking anything. It was far to noisy for that.
"Hey! You! I don't know who or what you might be but I'm definitely not food, and if you think I am I'll make sure I leave you a mark to remember me by." he poked his head out of the dip he slept in and tried sniffing at the air to scent it but the wind wasn't on his side today and blew the scent away from him. As dangerous as the situation could be he stayed completely calm, not a claw flexed or ear flattened.

Kayalee trotted through the plains, half patrolling and half just taking a stroll. The morning air smelled fresh and dewy, a very nice companion for her stroll. Kayalee paused to stretch, and her front paw snapped a large stick. Kayalee hissed in annoyance and flopped her backside down and pulled her forpaw up to her face, hoping she didn't have any splinters. Kayalee heard the hissing of a seemingly young feline and a head popped up a little ways away. This feline looked almost exactly like her, except he had tabby stripes and his eyes were sort of filmy. He looked like he was sniffing around. Couldn't he see her? "I mean no harm to you as long as you mean no harm to me." Kayalee meowed in response. Picking a small splinter from her paw with her teeth, giving a quick hiss. It stung when it was torn from her pad.

"Even if I did want to attack you I don't think I'd get very far. You're at least four times by size judging by your voice and footsteps." Alastair rose to his feet and trotted towards the feline and gave her a quick sniff. "I'm Alastair, and you?" he trotted in a circle around her making clicking noises to size her up properly, his original size estimate was rather accurate to his surprise, though she was bulkier than he'd guessed. "You don't happen to live around here do you? I've scented very similar scents to yours all around here." the tom sat a few feet in front of her, his eyes fixed sightlessly ahead.

Kayalee was impressed with the seemingly blind cat. He seemed to walk well enough. Kayalee watches him with her aqua eyes. "I'm Kayalee, it's nice to meet you Alistair." Kayalee meowed, her ear twitche when Alistair made a clicking noise with his tongue. "I live here with two other abscondings like myself. River and Ebony." Kayalee meowed. "I am the leader of the group, The Plains Tribe." Kayalee added as an afterthought. Kayalee's thoughts were confirmed when she noticed the sitting tom did not look at her, but only towards her. "I mean no offense of course, but do you have any vision problems?" Kayalee asked, cocking her head with an interesting expression.

"Nice to meet you as well Kayalee." Alastair placed his tail loosely around his paws. "Abscondings? Are those the same type of massive feline as you or what?" he cocked his head slightly to the side at the term, she was the first creature he encountered other than Vancleef, so he was still rather clueless about the world.
"Yeah, I'm blind. Don't think that it holds me back, I get along just fine." he boasted. It wasn't like he was born with sight and then suddenly went blind. He was born like this, so it was the only way he's ever known and it didn't bother him one bit.

"Abacondings are the third feline form. You are an aboriginal, tr first evolution. Occult is the second, the only occult I know of currently is Antares, he lives in the maple forest." Kayalee meowed, then added. "I'm not sure why or how evolution takes place, it just... Does." Kayalee's ear flicked at Alastair's boasting tone. "Were your born without sight?" Kayalee asked, stretching out her paws so she could lay comfortably on her belly. "I believe you do get along fine, you got from the orchard to here easy enough without sight." Kayalee huffed, Yawning a large yawn. She laid her head lazily on her paws and stared at Alistair, her ears still pricked up.
