Conception:
After the one of the trees has granted you the magical gift of life, this can be used to protect it from anyone's knowledge, except for the parents of course. Meaning that predators will not see, hear, smell, or feel any sign of your pup anywhere from 24 to 48 hours depending on use. If there are a lot of predators passing your pup it will wear down in24 hours. If you have only had one predator explore your area, it will last up to 48 hours.

I'm slightly confused. Pregnancy doesn't apply to this game, you sleep under one of the Orchard's trees with another native and the tree bears a pod which the pup/kit/whatever a baby reptile would be called will live and grow until it reaches full size. Age doesn't particularly apply either, your character is "born" - the pod falls from the tree, and the character hatches from it - at the full size of an aboriginal (see the size chart for actual sizes; reptiles aren't up there yet). :]

The safety of the offspring is all up to the person who buys the baby (offspring can be purchased by anyone if they have the exp), the baby would only be in danger if that person wanted it to be. c:
