Things were working so smoothly...it'd almost feel too easy if Nerah had a concept of misfortune. In her short life, nothing truly bad had happened. Well, except for the bird attack, but that turned out all right in the end. Because there was no tragedy, it would never occur to her that anything could go wrong until something did, and this was not one of those times. Now, the four were discussing the details of the pack: namely, the name. The feline agreed to the name Silva had chosen. Now it was up to the male canine to cast his vote. In the meanwhile, it seemed they were about to go exploring again.

"Me too! That red liquid didn't really do anything about thirst," she piped in.

[Aries]

Antares playfully pawed at Silva's chest catching her thick coat between his claws before rolling over as she jumped off.

"It's settled then we're a pack, and we'll head down to the river to explore a bit more!" Antares tucked his front paws under his chest and yawned, his deep crimson eyes glossy in exhaustion.

"Shouldn't we get a little bit of sleep before we go though?" he rolled onto his side against Nerah's flank. "I'm quite tired, we'll be fresh in the morning. So it will be easier to explore the area without the thought of sleep clouding out senses" He yawned again stretching a bit.

[so actually it turns out crumbles can't sleep unless it's past 3 in the a.m.]

If Yamir had eyebrows, they would be raised. Most sardonically, at that. But he didn't, so he settled for eyeing them all with an air of self-righteousness as they rolled around and pawed at eachother. A small huff escaped him. He was above all this. Obviously. His ears flicked dismissively at the unanimous agreement. "Starpack, okay."

"Water seems... necessary." He admitted with a displeased thunk of his tail into the grass. His throat was slightly papery, and he imagined if it got any tighter it would be pushing the boundary to uncomfortable. "And I wouldn't mind seeing some more of the world, as much as I like this colour."

His eyes flickered over Antares. "Sleep would be gratifying, but how do we know if anything else out there is as friendly as all of you?" Plains weren't exactly havens of subtlety but sleep was rather tempting.

She felt the feline's body against hers ad turned to give his ears a quick, affectionate lick. She didn't really think about the action. She didn't need to. She was perfectly comfortable around these three creatures. They were her family now, whether they wanted to be or not.

"I know I need to sleep soon..." Nerah yawned. "But maybe it would be good to at least start in that direction? Maybe we can find a sheltered place to sleep on the way. Then we'll be closer to the water when we wake up. Or we can find shelter near the water so it's right there when we need it."

[Aries]

"You do have a point, we probably should find somewhere more sheltered" Antares nodded at the thought. Sleeping out in the open could be dangerous. Anything else out there more than likely would be looking for a quick meal if anything.

Antares flicked his ears, a bit surprised by Nera's like, but turned and gave her frazzled chest fur a brush with his bristly tongue.

"Shelter near the water seems like a good idea, there has to be plenty of plants and shrubs to shelter us as well" Antares slowly got up and stretched, awakened from the prospect of the journey.

Silva nodded "It's settled then, we'll rest by the river place" she said, affectionately glancing around at all her friends. Barking happily with jot, she stood man stretched, pointing her nose towards the river. "C'mon, lets head out. Now that we're a family, everywhere we go will be so much more fun~" with that, she happily trotted south. Onot the next adventure!

Two of the others agreed to keep going and see if they could possibly find shelter near the river. Chances were Yamir would approve as well. Despite his attitude he had continued to accompany them. Nerah wishes he was a more active participant in the decisions, though.

Silva declared the matter settled and pointed toward the river. Nerah stretched and pawed at the ground, eager to get a move on and find a good spot to sleep. When Silva told them to head out, she nodded and waited for the other female to start walking. She then followed close behind, trusting that the males would follow as well.

Silva kept on a steady trot south, ears and tail high in the air as she happily pranced forward. Who knew, they may soon find something even cooler! "We'll be entering the territory of the Cult, but Nerah and I are both members, so they should let us pass" she called over her shoulders to the others as she trotted forward, not seeing the males, but assuming they were right behind her. "I hope the water is tasty to drink~"

Well, his story certainly could have gone worse. He'd been born, almost immediately met...tolerable creatures, had enough food to keep him going for a while, and now they were going to find shelter. Everything was looking up so far, and behind his unimpressed demeanor he had nothing to whine about (yet). Maybe, just maybe he could learn to like these guys - as he is carefully ignoring the fact that he already does.

With a long-suffering sigh, Yamir lifted himself off of the ground and shook himself off consciously. His thick tail bounced helplessly against his back as he trotted to keep in step with the others.

"The...The Cult?"

Antares trotted silent;y in front of Yamir, bouncing with excitement at the new place they had entered. All of the new plants and sounds were exhilarating, all sense of exhaustion gone.

"Cult? That doesn't sound very good" Antares shivered at the word, it sounded.. evil. He shook his head to clear his mind, there was no sense in worrying if Silva was part of it.

[Meesh]

Silva nodded to Yamir "I think its like a pack, except their territory is the river, and ours is the forest. Also, they let you come and go. So, our pack is completely separate from them, even though Nerah and I are both members. They're like...an alliance of us. " She continued trotting south as she did so, nose lifted int he air as she attempted to track her way by scent "I think we'll be there pretty soon"

The group walked, and Nerah contented herself with listening quetly as Silva explained everything. She other female was simply better than she was at talking, so she was better at explaining things. The males seemed to have misgivings when The Cult was mentioned, but that was only because they hadn't met the group yet. They'd be fine when they did, and they were likely to meet at least some of the members sometime.

The walk seemed to last forever, probably because she was worn out from all the activity of the day. She forced herself to keep moving, though. She'd be able to rest when they found a good place. And it seemed they would soon, as Silva said they were almost there.

Silva stopped when they reached the cult border, a long, fast flowing river. She bent her head down to drink "Mmmm, it's really cold and good!" she exclaimed, lapping up the water. Dipping a paw into it, she added "I wonder if we could swim in it..."

At last, they made it to the river. Nerah looked down at the water, watching as it flowed to, in front of, and away from the group. She bent down to drink and found the water cool and refreshing. She was almost jealous of The Cult for having claimed this territory, even though she had access to it just like all members.

Silva mentioned swimming, and Nerah cautiously stepped into the water. It made her a little unsteady, but it hadn't swept her away. Not yet, anyway. "It might be safe if we're careful."

Antares padded up to the river cautiously, he didn't want to end up all wet. He bent his head down to lap at the water, it was refreshing after the long day without a drink. Nodding in agreement to Silva that the water was good, he sat and cleaned his ruffled fur.

"Ehhh.. I don't want to drown." Antares pitched in backing up a few feet, just in case one of the felt the need to push him in.
