He must have stood there for a couple of minutes when Yamir poked his head in and angered the damned things even more. Just as the canine poked his head in, all of them came crawling after them like a wave, but brown and venomous.
"RUN!" the feline scrambled to turn around but just bowled himself into Yamir doing a somersault over him, landing roughly on his butt. Blinded my adrenaline and fear he got back to his feet in lightening speed, proceeding to pelt away from the blasted spiders that were out to kill them.

Oh, boy. That was quite a lot of spiders, wasn't it? In fact, he wasn't sure he'd ever seen so many insects in his life, if you were to count out ants (but ants travelled in tens upon tens of thousands and were therefore void of numbering). Then again, he wasn't sure he'd ever seen a group of them so pissed off, either. Or anything so irrationally enraged. "You're a bit rude for the natives, aren't you?" All he got was a long, collective hiss from the log and more spiders pouring out. One touched his paw. It was then that he decided to stop dwelling on how many there were and take Antares' lovely advice - RUN.
Yelping with all the grace of a female pup, he scrabbled around and darted off right behind the feline. "Are going to chase us?" His voice was loud and breathy. "That's ridiculous, spiders don't hold grudges!"

They our ran the pesky thing in a matter of minutes, although in those minutes they had sprinted to the other end of the forest, on the edge of the river garden. A thought popped into his head now that he wasn't trying to escape giant insects.
"Hey, why don't we head back to the Orchard, where we were born? It could be fun visiting the place of out birth" The feline panted slowing himself down to a quick trot before sitting for a moment to rest.

Feeling his heart finally stop flailing, reduced to a rapid but steady drumming, he slowed his sprint to more or less match that of the feline's. "That was...interesting. And by interesting I mean that you're not allowed to touch hollow logs again, are we clear?" He kept glancing behind him and tensing when the grass tickled his feet the wrong way, the memory of the spiders reluctant to bug (pardon the pun) off.
... "The Orchard?" He echoed, tone noticeably more bleak. "I guess that'd be something to do. We're halfway there, anyway." He glanced upwards, passing Antares and looking out towards the rest of the world. They'd seen it all, but he supposed some were more worthy or revisiting than others.

"Believe me I don't want to touch another hollow log again" the feline grimaced, now slowed down to a normal trot. He started his way to the river near by. The run dried his mouth out horribly, he needed a drink. They had to cross the river to get to the plains in the first place, so Antares waded into the water after a couple of well needed drinks of the chilly water.
"Come on, we have to go through the river to make it onto the Blue Plains" the feline shivered at the sheer iciness of the water and started paddling his way across the rest of the water, going as fast as he could to get warm and dry again.

Eww, the river. Yamir had managed to get by last time with only two damp paws and very big leap. However, after jumping the log and then running a mile and a half in terror from infuriated arachnids, he didn't have that kind of energy. Steeling himself, he dipped a paw into the river, stifled the chill that crawled under his skin and slipped further down. The water definitely wasn't as warm as last, but it was later in the evening this time. He ground his teeth together and trudged on, all but paddling as the water lapped against his chest.
"Do you have any idea how much I dislike the cold? I'm not particularly warm or anything, in fact I'd say I'm cooler than average, but it's not as refreshing as you'd think..." He rambled, pulling himself hurriedly up onto the riverbank. "Blue plains, full steam ahead."

"I wouldn't call it refreshing either" the feline's fur was plastered to his body, showing how thin, but muscular he actually was. He stopped for a moment as Yamir crossed the river to lick his fur at least partially dry.
"Here we go!" Antares took off in a run again, the wind would dry his fur faster. When they got to the orchard they could take a nap under one of the trees there, and continue to explore afterwards. Antares would probably look like a puffball wit the way the wind was drying his medium length fur.

"..." Yamir stared, confused, as Antares was licking his fur. His wet fur. "Are you trying to dry your wet fur with more water?" Cats. He would never understand them. With a roll of his eyes, he set off after him. Yamir's own fur was a bit wavy and was drying in clumps. It wasn't particularly clean looking but he sure wasn't going to curl up and start licking himself. "You look ridiculous."
He kept an eye out as they crossed into the blue plains, futilely straining for signs of the Orchard far ahead. All he saw, however, was wild aqua grass and the occasional, equally cool coloured shrub. Yamir wishes he were blue.

It must have been forever before The Orchard was within sight, he could have sworn these plains were smaller. Maybe they had taken some sort of secret short cut the time before, or exhaustion was just setting in. Running up and down the inclines of the hills was harder than going through the flat ground of the forest. The Orchard was in sight, they could start walking now, although it was beginning to get dark. The feline decided to keep a fast pace over the remaining hills.
"Look, there it is!"

[Yes, but now I need to earn more EXP to purchase their baby. Of course only after we start this RP is it mentioned that I can't claim my own character's child for cheaper than another person here. Now, even if Crumbles pitched in for it we couldn't have enough. /storms off to find active rps]

[wat is this all about not affording babies?]
Ugh, he hated running. He hated walking, too. In fact, he was fairly content to just sit around and rest all day, but someone out of the four had to be sensible. So it was obvious that when Antares pointed out the outline of the Orchard, the news sang sweet music in Yamir's ears. He stayed in step with the feline, tail bouncing (and how he despised that, too). "About time," his tone was gruff. "My paws are sore and you all haven't let me sleep well in far too long." This was, of course, a blatant bluff and he'd been sleeping just fine, the only marauder out to butcher his sleeping schedule himself.
They approached the Orchard and reached the entrance very soon after.
