"I don't think reptile meat would be very tasty, too much scales and feathers, not enough meat. Though I did think about making a meal out of you Goldilocks. I imagine a younger thing would be much more tender." Azazel chuckled but there was a definite tone of malevolence behind it. The feline smirked with amusement as the older reptile - he hadn't caught either of their names yet, perhaps he should ask - bickered at the female for walking away. He couldn't care less if the younger one walked off, she wasn't doing much more than being sassy and angry with them for not much of an apparent reason.
Azazel snapped his head back to looking at the older reptile, who was snarling and doing a strange thing on the ground. Was this some sort of odd attack ritual? No, it appeared that the reptile was definitely growing, and fast at that. The feline observed with curiosity lighting up his gaze as the scaly being evolved into a much bigger, more feathered form.
"I'm going to presume that was the 'evolution' thing you spoke of?"

Ugh! Males! So annoying, Kuno could already tell they were the inferior gender. Annoying, stupid, and seem more reliant on their brawn then their brain. She walked with a proud strut away from the two of them, hoping inside that they would just tear each other apart. That would make her happy, which she found she had not been since she hatched. Just being around them made her angry and it was a much colder feeling then she had thought happiness was.
She was out of sight of them by now, her body disappearing into the grass and undergrowth. In her mind she thought of how Jim had thought to mock her for having trouble with her pod. She hadn't been having trouble with the pod itself, it was the fact she hadn't had room to move. Not that he cared, he thought every hatchling should have it either plush and easy or hard. It made her so mad! Why couldn't they understand she was not a weakling? She had plenty of muscle, and more brain then both of them put together even if she was only minutes old.
Of course she couldn't forget she was comparing herself to two idiotic males. Males that needed to be taught a lesson so they would never think her weak again.
And she would give it!
Kuno padded softly back to where she left the males, making sure to keep herself quiet. Losing all those mice had its perks, she knew how to stalk silently now. When she arrived she saw the big feline and another reptile that she didn't recognize. Well, until she just paid due attention to his coloring and pattern. Jim? What happened to him, she had only been gone a moment or two.
Still, this didn't stop her from wanting to show them how strong she really was. So she carefully crept closer before springing out of the grass toward Jim. If she was fast enough she would jump onto his feathery back and start clawing at his neck and shoulders. But he wasn't the only one, so she hoped to launch herself at Patches feline too, maybe if she latched onto his face with her claws she could scratch out his eyes.
No one would think her weak! She would prove them wrong!

(Muahaha! Posted once more before bed ) Kuno was gone, and Jim didn't much care. Either way, he was glad she didn't see that one moment of weakness. He preened his arm featherings once again, now a little unused to how much there was. There was so much more of him now, feathering included, and Jim made a mental note to examine his new form more thoroughly once alone again. Best not to do it now, however, where he might be mistaken for a bumbling newhatcher. He snapped his jaws together in satisfaction upon hearing the feline's words, nodding slowly in agreement. "Reptile meat is not the most delicious, though it will do fine in a pinch. I rather enjoy feline though" He grinned wider now, displaying a full set of newly-grown teeth. "Not that I plan on eating you, youngling. There's too much meat on your bones for me to finish before it goes bad, and I'd hate to cause a waste" he shrugged in mock regret, wobbling once unsteadily on his new legs, which seemed to adapt easily to both four legged and two legged positions. "And yes, this was an evolution you just saw" he hissed to himself. Sustaining himself on only mice would be hard now, if not impossible. A crackling of paws on branches suddenly caught Jim's attention and he whirled around, just nearly dodging the attack of the returning Kuno. So she thought she was a sort of threat, eh? Or perhaps she just wanted to provide some cheap laughs for his entertainment. The reptile hissed and swiped out his claws, intending to lightly claw her form as she went flying past. A few scratches would do her good to remember her place in this world at the bottom of the dung heap.

Azazel chuckled in amusement at the reptile's comment about eating him. It'd be interesting to see the reptile try to make a meal out of them. While he did double in size due to the evolution, the feline was still far larger and heavier, which would give him a massive advantage if he were to be attacked.
He grinned slightly when Kuno appeared out of the bushes and made an attempt at attacking the green reptile. Jim managed to half dodge the female's attack and land a few scratches on her but that didn't seem to stop her from trying to attack him. Azazel merely grinned larger at the little reptile running at him, he could crush her with one claw it's not like she could do particularly serious damage to him but he'd certainly like to see her try.

Kuno gave an irritated hiss as Jim dodged her first attack, lashing out with his claws. The draw shallow flesh wounds along her shoulder but apart from the initial sting her anger made the wound numb till the adrenaline died down a bit. They thought they were so tough because they were bigger? Hah, that only made them slower as they had to drag around more weight then she did, she was more quick and agile then either of them. Kuno smirked as she turned on one paw and dashed past Jim's outstretched leg, which had just put a wound on her pretty golden body. She ran along the outside of that arm so if he tried using the other paw it would effectively trip himself up.
She paid little mind to the cat, he would come later, instead she leapt up toward Jim's face and aimed her long sharp teeth and front claws at his face and eyes. Eyes didn't have any muscle or thick hide to protect them, they were always a weakness. Plus she figured it would be a very painful wound that would take a while to heal even if she didn't manage to blind him.

Jim bared his teeth and gave a long low hiss. This amusing fight had started to get a bit irritating now. As the little reptile turned around and leaped toward him once more, Jim quickly covered his face with his arms, managing to block to worst of the damage to his face, but still getting clawed all over his forelimbs. Some of his beautiful newly-grown feathers went drifting to the ground and Jim gave a snarl, clawing at the female viciously and snapping at any forelimb that got too close to his face. "Enough, child" he growled, baring his teeth at Kuno. "You accomplish nothing by making a fool of yourself by this" Perhaps, Jim mused, his bigger size would prove to be an advantage to him- it certainly made it much harder for the new-hatched to jump at him. In fact, it also meant he could do this... Balancing expertly on one foot, Jim lashed out with the other hind leg, kicking at her before springing away and balancing on two, front claws bared and at the ready to slash if she came closer once again. "Do not think to test me, child" he warned, baring his teeth at her. "And to think you ruined a perfectly good conversation this fellow here and I were having."

The large feline watched in mild amusement as the two reptiles quarreled. The little one was very brave, he gave her credit for that, but she was also incredibly reckless. He could certainly see her irritating Jim enough to get her much more severe injuries than those that had just been inflicted upon her.
Despite that he enjoyed watching the fight, enough was enough and the fight had interrupted his conversation. Azazel promptly rose to his feet and laid on Kuno, effectively incapacitating her with his weight. He would let her up after she stopped being rude.
"Can you not. You're looking rather tasty right now I wouldn't continue being so rude if I were you." Azazel stated in a very matter of fact voice, definite malicious undertones bleeding through the threat.
"Where were we in our conversation.. I don't believe I ever got either of your names. I'm Azazel."
