Sky nodded in reply to Fox, and then sharply glanced at the sudden appearance of another pod that fell down and broke open to reveal another feline like her. Was this normal to have so much new life show? Sky didn't know, nor was she inclined to ask. She felt hollow in her stomach, and she realized that she wanted to try this 'hunting' out. She didn't quite want to go by herself, but she didn't want to go with Fox either. He was too bright for her to cope with. So sky frowned and flicked her tail, not knowing what to do about her situation. She didn't want to ask the other one either though...because she'd be as inexperienced as Sky was herself. Should she go alone? Could she do that? Would it be okay for her to just leave? Perhaps if she just stayed quite and snuck away from the group. But would she be able to walk without making much of a commotion? Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, Sky glanced away from the group, trying to decide.

Sofia--for that was what the feline decided she was called, although she wasn't quite sure why yet-- looked up at the canine. He seemed to be a little bigger than her, but she didn't know whether it was because he was a canine or because he was older than her.
Everything seemed so bright out here, not like when Sofia was inside her pod. The light hit everything, the grass on the ground, the fruit hanging from the tree and the fur of the other natives, and it made it all shine and glimmer. Yes, the world was a beautiful. Sofia snapped out of her thoughts, though, when she remembered all the questions she had. Hopefully the canine would know the answers to them.
"Er...hello. Nice to meet you," Sofia said, figuring she should at least return the greeting before asking anything. "Why is it so bright out here? What's your name? Are there more trees like this one? How come your fur is so bright? How can I tell what I look like? And why does my stomach feel all hollow?" She stopped talking, figuring that those were enough questions for now. She didn't want to seem rude.

fox wagged his tail at the barrage of questions, responding to them just as quickly as they were asked. "Nice to meet you too! It's bright cus there's this thing called the sun, that's it up there, that gives out a lot of light. My name is Fox. There's three trees like this one but I think one of them is dying. My fur's bright because it is. There's a stream a little over there and you can see yourself in it, or I can just describe you to you. Your stomach is hollow because it's empty which means your hungry which means you gotta eat stuff to name it not-empty" he paused, panting for breath, before continuing.
"Since you're both hungry, why not go hunt a little? I'd offer to help out, but your first kill should be your own. I can show you where, if you want to, though"

Sophia listened intently as Fox talked. She got a bit worried when he said that one of the trees was dying. What if that had be her tree? It was probably best not to think about it. Anyway, the other things that Fox had said were so interesting. Sofia would have liked to go down to the stream, but the hollowness in her stomach seemed like a bigger priority. There would be plenty of time for looking in streams after she had eaten.
"Sure, I'd like to go to clearing," Sofia said. She tried to stand up, and fell over. After another attempt, though she managed to stay on her paws. Walking seemed like it would be harder, though. "My name's Sofia, by the way."

Sky sharply looked back at the canine as he mentioned that he'd be willing to take them to the place that they could hunt in. Sky's expression perked up and she stumbled back over to the canine and sat by the other she, barely noting her as she looked at Fox. "Please, I'd like to go with you." Sky said with a small fumble over her own words, not quite sure if she liked the way they rolled off her tongue or not. Perhaps she did, perhaps she didn't. Everything was so new...how could she decide just yet? Because all around her were new things that she somehow new the names for. Sky...trees...grass...sun, it was all so fresh.

Sofia watched the silver feline as she walked up to them. She seemed to walk differently than Fox, less spring and excitement. They seemed friendly, and from what she had heard of the conversation between the other natives, she had recently hatched too. Maybe they could be friends. Sofia smiled at the thought. It would be nice to have friends. Was Fox her friend? She couldn't really tell.
"Well, I certainly wouldn't mind if you came with us, the more the merrier after all. I think Fox is in charge of deciding, though." Sofie said, smiling. "By the way, my name is Sofia, what's your name?."
