"We don't mean to worry you." Nerah felt bad for causing any sort of negative emotion in the young one. "It's probably nothing to worry about, especially if the deaths and that stuff in the tunnels are connected. Just a bit of a bad shock, suddenly finding so many dead out here without any easily apparent reason."
She gathered up what corpses she could find and shoved them into the hole, looking forward to finishing this grim task and pretending it never happened. This was sure to give her nightmares for some time...
Evalon was clearly tired, and Silva told her she could rest. Nerah nodded at her friend's words as she worked. Yes, it was better for Evalon to sit this part out.

Evalon just gave a nod and tucked her paw back under her as she watched the two before getting up when the work was just about done. The stink of the rat tunnels was still lingering in her nose, though maybe that wasnt a bad thing? "I can still smell that stuff. Maybe if I look around we may find if there are any other creatures that've been effected, that way we can be sure it was just this den that was infected." She asked and sat, wrapping her tail around her as she sniffed the air, trying to see if she could pick up on any new scent like the dens, but also just enjoying the clean smell.
"You two have been around for a long time. I'm curious, other then illness, is there any creature that could pose a threat to us? Or are we safe from everything but sickness?" Evalon asked, wondering if there were creatures that fed off of them and the cat like species she'd seen when she was first hatched. If they ate smaller things she was slightly concerned there was something larger out there that wouldnt even give a thought about hunting her down just to be food.
Why was she worrying so much all of a sudden? She passed the thought off as just being part of a new world, one she didnt know at all well. The first thing she'd seen was death.

Silva nodded at the pup's idea. "It also wouldn't hurt to lay some fresh leaves around here to mask the scent" she observed. "Then again, maybe it's foul enough to warn away the others" She began scratching at the bark of the nearby trees, marking a large circle in the area around her. "This should warn off some others as well" the canine observed. At Evalon's question, Silva shook her head. "We're pretty much safe from everything" she guaranteed the young one. At least, mostly safe Silva recalled, remembering the fight that had almost occurred right before she had left the cult. "Only prey dies" Or so she thought. Silva had never seen a canine or feline dying, only the prey she had killed.
"You'll be fine, I promise. Anyway, Nerah and I can take care of you if you ever need help" Silva gave the pup another lick. Now that the area was marked ou, however, it was time to spread the word. "I'll start telling the others" Silva told the other two, nuzzling Nerah and giving a goodbye pat to Evalon. "I'll seeya in a bit" before teleporting off.
((Sorry all, I just realized that this prompt bumped me above the thread limit :c Have fun with it, though~))

Nerah blinked as the two talked. "That might work, as long we make sure no one can get to the source of the sickness. Otherwise it's like laying a trap, and I'd rather not be responsible for the death of a creature." And she had no knowledge of healing herbs or anything that could be used to stave off things rather than hiding them. Maybe Silva knew something.
Then Silva marked the area and promised that they were safe from things. She nodded. There were dangers if one got careless, but as long as a creature was careful they'd be fine. Nerah nodded when Silva then offered to take care of Evalon. She wouldn't say no to the company of the younger canine.
"I should warn everyone I know, too," she said once Silva left. "If you follow our scent trails, they should lead you into a red and gold forest. We both live there with a friend of ours, and we always welcome company - especially from a friend." She smiled and ran off to find everyone she knew.
((There's not really much else to do on here anyway. We can always start a new thread together elsewhere. ^.^))
