She frowned as she remembered the creature she had seen – as if that would have been hard to forget, as unique as it was. “No one I’ve seen before. It was a mix, like you. Sort of striped and splotched in white, black, and shades of brown. Seemed fixated by the water…” She shrugged. “I didn’t see it long enough to get a better look than that. Maybe the vision will come again and I’ll be able to take in more detail.”
She looked around, though she had seen everything she could of the caves, she was certain. “There’s something special about this place, but I can’t quite put my claw on it.”

Shadow nearly jumped out of his fur at the description "A little smaller than me, female? That's a spot on description of Seraphi, my sister" he purred, tail wagging now at the memory of his younger sister. "I don't think Seraphi's ever been here, but maybe that means she'll be here one day? She's really sweet, you'd like her" Now thoroughly happy at the thought of his sister, Shadow all but pranced a circle around River.
He calmed down, a bit, at her comment, however. "I've picked up on it too, but I'm not quite sure what it is. Sure is pretty, though"

“Smaller, yes…” River frowned in thought. “I didn’t get much in the way of a scent and I don’t exactly…check…so I can’t be sure on the gender, but you may be right. It did look like it could have been female…” She nodded when he mentioned that his sister matched the description. “If that’s the case, it most likely is her. I doubt there’s ever been a creature with such a pattern, before.” She nodded as he continued, saying she’d like her. “Perhaps I’ll meet her, sometime.”
“It is pretty,” she responded as he spoke again. “Something tells me this place will be important to your sister. Maybe to you both. It’s possible my vision didn’t include you because you were here already.”

Shadow blinked, flicking an ear in confusion as he took another look at the pool. "Important to us? I wonder how...it's pretty cool, but..."The mix let out a shrug, eyes narrowed in confusion. "I guess it doesn't really matter" he said finally, shrugging. "We'll find out when we find out, right?" Turning, the mix began carefully making his way back up the rocks to the entrance to the cavern "Come on, let's start heading back now- we may lose our daylight soon, and that would certainly be harder for getting back" He turned to grin over his shoulder "Not that I'd get you lost, of course"

River shrugged. She had no answer for her companion, only a strong feeling. There was something…other, about this place, and it was significant. Not for her, though. For her, she got an entirely different feeling – one that told her she’d never be seeing this place again.
He suggested they head back, and she nodded and followed, giving the lake one last look before leaving it behind. She purred at what he said next. “There is no ‘lost’ when you’re on an exploration. Only an unexpected bit of sight-seeing.” And if this sight was never again seen by her…that was fine. She had seen it the one time, at least. There’d be plenty of other places for her to discover some other time…maybe something even better.
That was later. This was now, and the exploration was drawing to a close much sooner than she would have liked. “Days are far too short.”
