coeus! Well, this place was new. Coeus makes his way towards it, curiosity evident in every way, before cautiously testing the earth below him with a foreleg. Upon examination, it seemed to cause no threat nor harm and so he contents himself with the fact that it was likely just another place whose secrets had to be exploited. One day at a time, right? With this, the feline finally relaxes and chooses to flounce about, gaze wide and expecting something of interest to happen. He is careful, yes, perhaps overly so -- confrontation with any sort of other being besides himself was not something that he felt up to today, even though it was bound to happen. It wasn't his fault that he preferred to be alone, mulling over the meaning of life and everything that came with it. Right? Certain things were more appealing than others, though it was more than likely that there would be some situations out of his control, such as this one. At least he was in a place that was not sore on the eyes and actually quite manageable. There were worse things to be faced with.

The blue tinted grass and weeds swayed in a gentle breeze. White paws parted the blades of grass and impressed their image upon the dirt with certainty, leaving his trail for others to follow whether intentional or not. Mike inhaled deeply as the cool air tussled his already uneven white fur. The orchard had been a fine place, but he liked this one so much better. It stretched as far as his piercing blue eyes could see. He felt an urge, a tingling in his legs. He would like to move more quickly than he had before! He would like to run. Not out of fear, but of excitement. Excitement was new to him, since before he had only known calm and peace. But he found that he liked this feeling too. He was far younger than he physically appeared, a newborn really. He would enjoy his energy while he still could!
In moments, he had taken off in a sprint. His legs were new and a little clumsy, but they were certainly getting the job done. In moments, he had covered three times the distance than he would have in the same time with his slow amble. His paws skimmed the ground quickly, leaving him sailing through the air for the most part. The ground shifted and there were little dips that threatened to trip him, but even then he stumbled forward and was able to catch the ground underpaw again. The problem was that he had become significantly less observant in his hurry and so when he spotted a furry shape much like his own, he was unable to stop. "Look out!" he called, attempting to stop and only managing to propel himself forward without control, barreling straight toward fellow creature.

coeus! The other feline in question had been out of the orchard for quite some time. He was the elder of the pair, most certainly more mature in mindset and physical appearance. So why did Mike have an easier time and greater tolerance for having to deal with others of his species? The thought is puzzling, though nevertheless he wishes to pursue the answer. Differences in personality and preference, perhaps. There was also the fact that his newfound companion's path led straight towards the center of his being -- most likely with the intention to knock him over, or at least take the gray creature down with the peace disturber.
Letting out a sharp yell of surprise, Coeus found himself doing exactly this -- falling due to the rate at which Mike was barreling at him. It was like a train wreck in which he was unable to move, to get out of the way, but at the same time his vision was trained upon the movements of the other. He was aware that there was a heavy being currently ramming into his chest, but the shock made his temporary pain unable to register until he found himself seating himself heavily on the ground. This experience wasn't exactly fun, and it still wasn't welcome, so Coeus offers only a raised brow and a questioning expression. What, exactly, had prompted the cream feline to have the need to charge and not even pay attention to make sure that those around him would not become casualties of his romping? He does not speak, partially because he's just had the wind knocked out of him, and partially because he does not care to. It wasn't like he would be able to form a coherent thought into speech that didn't slur together or stumble over itself, anyway. It was probably better for Mike that he was just receiving a curious stare.

His warning was too late it seemed. Unable to reach the ground, Mike squeezed his eyes shut and braced for impact. Although it probably hurt him less than Coeus, knocking into the other feline was not painless. His face plowed into the others side. Because his mouth was closed, the other was spared an accidental brush with Mike's teeth. As the other fell, Mike rolled over him and landed awkwardly on his side. The stinging quickly passed, but there was a throbbing ache. Was this what Hera experienced when the fruit landed on her head? He didn't like this sensation at all.
Disoriented, Mike rolled onto his belly and searched for the feline he'd plowed into. His blue eyes met with the curious gaze of the other, and he hurriedly tried to stand, and ended up flopping back onto his belly. "Are you alright?" he asked with obvious concern, even as his eyes roamed over the others strangely marked pelt. Why was it that this one and Hera had markings and other colors while he was simply white all over? Nervous about the lack of speech, Mike added an apology. "I'm real sorry...I wasn't paying enough attention to where I was going." His eyes darkened with his shame at harming another. What if the other was experiencing this awful sensation as well, or worse? Perhaps Hera had been right to be distrustful of him.
